So, another change in our Thursday morning.

Wake up early. We'll leave our hotel no later than 7. Take the subway to the World Trade Center Memorial. Then, walk down Wall Street and go to Battery Park for a look at the Statue of Liberty. Then, we'll take the subway to SoHo, and continue our day.

Should we still take the same subway as stated before on my last itinerary from Battery Park to SoHo?

I'll just put all three different routes to SoHo (from Ground Zero, from Wall Street, and from Battery Park) on my itinerary. So, we'll just have option depending on where we go first.

I don't have my subway map handy right now. Make sure you get your free copy from a token booth clerk. There are lots of subways stopping in the vicinity, so you'll have no problem getting back to SoHo. Your itinerary is good but it involves a lot of walking. But if you are all up to it, there is a lot to see along the way. Make sure you see the "Charging Bull" statue in front of Battery Park. It's located here:

I like to know what subway station we're going to. So, one of the three.

I didn't realize we were doing an insane amount of walking.

I would not describe it as "insane", lol. I would do it.

You're walking from the theatre on 48th/Bway all the way east to Rock Ctr (6th Ave) in order to backtrack and catch the train west to Columbus Circle (8th Ave)? Why not just walk, or why not take the 1 train from 50th St to Columbus Circle (which is only one stop, which again asks the question why not just walk?)

(Unless I'm remembering wrong, and Columbus Circle isn't the stop near your hotel- in which case ignore everything I just said).

Well, I was just with what hopstop.com said.

So, we should just walk, even at 11 at night?

How long would the walk be?

Yes, Columbia Circle is near the hotel.

Does A train stop anywhere near WTC ? Don't you have to change to E at Canal St. ? And, yes, I would walk around that area at 11 PM and have done so on many occasions - it's as safe as taking a subway at that time. I am with the previous poster - I would walk from the theater to the hotel. It's a short walk.

Okay. I'll look into it.

About the A train question... I am just going off of hopstop.com.

Look for yourself:

http://www.mta.info/nyct/maps/submap.htm

Yeah, you can walk to WTC from Chambers St., but that's adding even more walking.

I would rely on the latest subway map before I would rely on hopstop. Just saying.

Train A going downtown and then at Canal St. change to E train going to WTC.

Well, at hopstop.com I chose "fewer changes/ more walking". Maybe that's why it's weird.

I am confused.

Or walk down to 50th St. and take E train from there straight to WTC

I am going to look into the hotel to WTC travel.

Okay. Please go to hopstop.

We are departing from 440 w 57th street and going to WORLD TRADE CENTER at 7 am with more walking/ fewer transfers.

So, instead of going up to 59th st. station, you can walk down to 50th st. station and catch the E train from there. It will take you straight down to WTC.

I don't think hopstop has E train in its database. I would just get the free subway map they have in every token booth and use that instead.

Would taking the E train be subsantially quicker (than 28 minutes)?
