Posted: 1/29/07 at 10:32pmThat's exactly what happened with me, emcee, I was enjoying the number, and the parading around and such, and then suddenly Raul is just standing there all alone...That was one of the saddest parts of the show, for me at least.

That's bothering me, too. I know the Side by Side staging changed quite a bit (I saw the show the week it changed and posted about it in this thread), but I don't think anything was cut. And I've seen that show several times. I feel like I'm going crazy... I don't remember a cut.
Heh, now I have to sing the song in my head and try and remember what was cut. It's the part right before Bobby sings "Just what you usually do!" When the company sings "How would we ever get-" four times in a row. Nothing major, I think that was the only cut. I just noticed it cause it seemed as if he answered sooner than normal.

Posted: 1/29/07 at 11:35pmYou know what bothers me? That there's a question mark after "Have Got a Girl For You" on the track listing. They're not asking, they're telling.

I had to go follow along with the lyrics to realize that the, "How would we ever get --"s were the part cut in the current Broadway production. Pretty minimal as far as cuts go, though.
I find "Side by Side by Side/What Would We Do Without You" so amusing, but not always laugh-out-loud funny. It's incredibly wicked and clever, and the sort of thing that almost elicits a chuckle or an amused smirk rather than a laugh -- not just in Doyle's production, but others as well. Which is, I think, brilliant.

Me too!
Also, Kristin Huffman (Sarah) has an upcoming Broadway Spotlight show at Ars Nova. Some of the other cast members will be guests. Is anybody else going?

Posted: 4/27/07 at 12:38pmI love these "behind the scenes" looks of hers. It almost makes you feel like you are there. It's cute that she is still so in Awe of the celebs and stuff she meets.

It's refreshing when even other performers get starstruck.

Can y'all believe it's been a year? It's fun to think back on how excited we were.
