Woof ... The sound mix didn't help matters, but it wouldn't have been enough to sway my opinion of this show. So much talent on stage. Truly remarkable troupe of creatives/performers here. But it just didn't stick the landing for me. 

Could be Jojo? She has expressed interest in more broadway endeavors in her future.

I do think it's fascinating that people have not been keen on JOY WOODS in GYPSY ... yet she has a very strong chance to win a tony for her performance in an otherwise lacking featured category.

Let's not pretend this woman isn't superbly talented. I think she is just a tad overexposed.

The cherry on top being none of the projects lending to the over exposure have been to her benefit.

The URINETOWN slander is hurting my soul. lol. I have always loved this show, as have my peers. I do wonder how I would feel watching it cold for the first time in 2025. That said, it has always been such a favorite of mine.

Seeing reports on Tik tok that Charli d’amelio was knocked out by a falling piece of scenery last night? The swing went on for her in act two. Hope she’s okay!

I watched an interview with Condon, where he says they use a Kander & Ebb trunk song for Lopez’s final number? 

Kelli O’Hara as Dolly is such a bewildering choice.

On the contrary … I actually found the rehearsal footage to be incredibly charming. Hoping this is a success at the kennedy center and transfers next season. The series never quite worked for me. So maybe its new home on stage will suit the material better. 

Loved this production! Audra is ravishing as ever. Danny, Jordan & Lesli are standouts as well. Joy is really strong as well ... I truly didn't feel her waver until the dressing room scene which seemed really forced. Likely the direction. I thought it was really great? No, the wheel was not re-invented. But did it need to be?

After having seen SUNSET and GYPSY ... I think that this show is going to run away with BEST REVIVAL, DIRECTION, LEADING ACTRESS, LEADING ACTOR & LIGHTING DESIGN. Truly astonishing. Nicole is unequivocally perfect.  

I loved Audra too ... but I feel the awards season is going to favor SUNSET in a major way. 

But she will dance the **** out of Buenos Aires 🤷‍♀️

Idk I can slightly see the vision. I think people give her a bad wrap. She is still incredibly talented. 

The “abridged version” is likely the Vegas edit. Which works quite well. The live orchestra would be INCREDIBLY hard to manage with three casts performing the show at the same time in different rooms. There would be virtually no way for the conductor to follow all three casts & not run into major problems. 

Still waiting to hear how JOY WOODS fares … but the lack of mention worries me lol 

I've seen no mention of JOY WOODS ... how does she fare in this?

it was announced he’s directing the stage adaptation of Crazy Rich Asians!
