I've been to the previews with some friends last year.
I didn't expect much, but I loved it. So did my friends!
We will go there again in November, and I am looking forward watching it on Netflix soon.

I've been to NYC a week ago and saw 4 Broadway Musicals. (Billy Eliott, Rock of Ages, Sister Act and Memphis) I have to tell that I liked Memphis most. In my eyes Adams performance was great, way better than Chad K.

Yeah, but this idea is retarded.
I don't think that it's actually his own idea. He just talked about this option recently.
I think The Toxic Avenger needs a small theatre, no matter if Broadway or Off Broadway. I liked it alot and would love to see it again..

Sadly you have to live with Memphis on Broadway, no matter what you write here.
But you are lucky: This place is the only place around, where some people think it's kinda cool to spam the board with all your bitching about this show.
If you like it or not: Most of the ratings and reviews are kinda positive out there, so noone really cares about this little "I hate Memphis"-group here.
It must have been really hard for you that Memphis won some Tony's back in June!  ?format=auto&width=600

I thought the show could have had some good moments, but Kimball IMO was just so bad that I couldn't enjoy it. That's probably what did it for me, I hated Kimball and he was in (practically) every scene! "
Didn't like him either, but I think it's more his role and the way he plays it...

... well MANY people out there liked it very much.
The ratings on every other site (besides this board here) are 95% really positive, so it doesn't really surprise me that it got 8 nominations.
Some people like it, some like it not.. We will see if it will really get honored on Sunday...
