Saw this last night and enjoyed it very much. All performances are great. Kecia Lewis is still calling for lines at this point, but it didn't bother me much as she recovers quickly with the same energy and carries on seamlessly. And, well, as a 65 year old actor myself, I empathized with her, given that the amount of dialogue she has is MASSIVE and it just becomes so much harder to remember after a certain age. IYKYK. I would recommend highly.

A friend of mine said she heard rumblings of Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie J Block and Alex Newell, but I haven't done any deep dive into what evidence, if any, there is. Food for thought.

I'm not very good at figuring out why some shows close early and others don't. I'm a 63 year woman who doesn't live in NYC but manages to take enough trips up there to see an awful lot of shows. I have been following the trajectory of this show since I heard about it on the West End up to reading the reviews today. And as much as I adore Cerveris and Boyle, I knew I wouldn't be seeing it despite me usually seeing most of the shows on Broadway. So....regarding these celebrities that are "buying out performances," what does this actually mean?Are they literally buying the remaining tickets to a set show? Or are they just figuratively buying the performance by donating a set amount to the show, a set amount that WOULD buy every seat in the theatre? If they're literally buying up tickets, who gets these tickets and who sees the show? My old brain is confused.
