Was wondering as I was watching Bullet Train if Aaron-Taylor Johnson had done NY theater - I couldn’t find anything. I was dream casting a Spider Woman revival, and think he’d do well. And while I was at it, I was thinking Zendaya as Aurora. I know her beau (Tom Holland) did Billy Elliot as a kid. He strikes me as someone who might carry a musical comedy well - guess we’ll see/hear his dancing and singing skills in the upcoming Fred Astaire biopic.

I don’t think Sandra Bullock has been on Broadway yet. She’s one of my favorite actresses.

When Charlie Rose interviewed Harrison Ford on his show he asked if he had ever considered performing on Broadway. Ford didn't answer him but the look he gave basically said everything: 'Are you out of your mind?'

I would love to see Melanie Lynskey and Kate Winslet on stage. Also, Joaquin Phoenix, in anything.

I’ve always wanted to see special Tony winner Diana Ross on Broadway in a musical. She came close twice, but never made it. She is a fine actress.

Ansel Elgort, just because I like his singing voice.

May not be 100% Hollywood but Kate Winslet

I’ll also toss in Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Interesting to ponder - with any of these fine recommendations - if the star would “pop” on stage (you know, have that Broadway stage “presence” or merely fade into the scenery? Sometimes, film charisma doesn’t translate into stage success.

The stagedoor scene and area surrounding the theater I feel would be an absolute nightmare, but…how would we feel about Leonardo DiCaprio if the role was right?
Jennifer Lawrence - she could be hilarious in the right kind of ORIGINAL comedic or dramatic play.
Riz Ahmed, Daniel Kaluuya and Charlize Theron also come to mind. (TBH, Kaluuya in "Topdog/Underdog" sounds like a dream to me)
DiCaprio and Winslet in “Virginia Woolf”.

Imagine the ticket pricing if this happened 😭
It breaks my heart that Streetcar wasn’t Cate Blanchett’s Broadway debut.

There’s no excuse for that not transferring. One of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen.

A revival of James Baldwin's' The Amen Corner with Taraji P. Henson is something I can get behind.
Viola has obviously been on Broadway, but she has not been back since her screen career took off. She recently mentioned wanting to do Hedda Gabler and I'd pay ANYTHING for that.

So very true. Julia Roberts in Three Days of Rain about 15 years ago is proof that great film actors aren't wonderful stage actors.
