West End Student Tickets? Mar 15 2007, 01:00:14 AM
Anyone know if any shows in London have student ticket policies? Perhaps for people with an international student id? Thanks!

A 108 and 109. I've actually seen the show four times already. Three times with the entire original cast and once with Tina, Cara, and David. I was just curious because my friend is about to leave and really wants to see Amy. So excited to see it again tonight!

Any idea if there will be any understudies in tonight? None were listed when I bought tickets this morning.

re: Famous people who you saw at a broadway show Jun 18 2006, 06:15:43 PM
To answer algy's question (which is not actually stupid at all), producers set aside a certain number of house seats and celebrities have their people call and they get to purchase these house seats.Sometimes they get comped in (it's up to the producers) but generally they purchase their seats.

re: Saenger Theater in New Orleans Jan 4 2006, 01:31:03 AM
The city is an absolute mess right now. It will be a while before anything is abck to normal, least of all theatre.

I would say '94 Off-Broadway but I'm sort of partial to it because that's how I fell in love with the show.

re: Sweeney Todd Seating Oct 6 2005, 12:25:39 AM
I just saw the show in that seat and, granted there were a few blockages due to props, I had no problem seeing the main action. Though I do warn to watch for Michael Cerveris' spitting, lol.

re: The Pillowman: GIGANTIC spoiler question... Sep 13 2005, 11:38:31 PM
out of curiousity why do you think that Michael said he killed the girl when he didn't? my friend and i were debating that after we saw it and never really came to an agreement.

re: Doubt or The Pillowman? Sep 4 2005, 04:04:00 PM
Pillowman, both are amazing but Pillowman literally left me speechless.

re: 'pillowman' student rush Sep 3 2005, 06:46:09 PM
They give out 12 tickets total and they are basically located whereever they have room. My best friend and I ended up in the second row but all the way over to the side. She couldn't see anything upstage which turned out to be a blessing since she can't even watch horror movies and The Pillowman is not for the easily frightened. However, the seat I had which was one over was fine. I could see everything. I would definitely get there early for tickets.

re: Whats going to happen to the New Orleans' Theatre Season? Sep 2 2005, 02:08:05 AM
I agree good for Lion King! I actually live in the New Orleans area, luckily my house is still standing, flooded but standing and all of my family is safe (we are all evacuated). I think that people need something to take their minds off of the horror of what is happening to our city. Hence why I am on this site and not watching CNN. Give people a break!

re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: : Songs in your Life Jan 30 2004, 10:54:32 PM
At the moment "Anytime" from William Finn's "Elegies." When I first got the CD for Christmas, I heard the song and bawled my eyes out. I lost my maternal grandmother to cancer in July 2001 and I hadn't cried since then. Then this last week I lost my paternal grandmother and the song was such a big comfort. Anyway, happier topics. Other songs I identify with:
"I'm Not That Girl"/"On My Own" - I think everyone has had unrequited love in their life at least once and if you haven't you
