I was thinking that Kelly Clarkson would make a great Elphaba. Somebody give me your opnion, and does anybody ahve any ideas who Clay Aiken could play on broadway?
I don't think Clay has a powerful enough voice for Broadway, but Kelly would be fantastic! I would love to see her as Elphaba, but I don't know about her acting abilities....

okay did you people SEE from justin to kelly? i love her singing but she cant act to save her life! i think clay wud be better on broadway than she would, even tho he wudnt be good, just cuz she can sing doesnt mean she has the total package, ya know?
Yes, Kelly as Elphaba and Clay will be Glinda!! Just joking, How about Frenchie Davis as Glinda? I'll bet she would ROCK doing "Popular"! Maybe she wont punch sleeping babies in the faces anymore then?

Kelly would kick ass on the songs, but I don't know about her vocal stamina. She might be able to pull off a six-show week.
I don't know about her acting, but let's face it: Wicked ain't Medea.
And IMHO, there's a big BIG difference between having Joe Mantello (and/or one of his sidekicks) put you into a show and getting acting tips from the guy who directed the piece of garbage "From Justin to Kelly."
why don't reunite all of the season one cast! kelly as elphaba, tamyra as glinda (will there ever be a black glinda?), justin as fiyero, nikki mckibbon as nessa, rj helton as boq. paula as morrible, simon as the wizard and randy as dr dillamond. it would be so much fun! maybe they could do a made for tv special!
or not.
i actually do think kelly clarkson is talented though.
I think this thread is ridiculous, but I do like Kelly Clarkson a lot. There would be better roles for her to make her Broadway debut in. Stick her in a fat suit and she'd be a decent Tracy in "Hairpsray".
Wow! A Clay Aiken gay joke? Who came up with that? Kringas was that you? You're a comedic genius! Oh my genitals how funny you are.
Yes, I think Clay and Kelly can both sing and maybe even both have the vocal chops to hold up for 8 performances a week. I dont think either of them can act nearly well enough to perform on a broadway stage. I vaguely remember Clay singing with Heather Headley at one point, and I think I enjoyed that. But no acting please.
I'd like to hear Kelly sing Defying Gravity though. I'd like to hear Clay sing some broadway material too. Just to see if he can. Updated On: 1/10/06 at 10:38 PM
