Should Karen be above the title there?
Also, Jimmy Collins sounds like a whiskey or something.
HIT LIST is off-Bway and BOMBSHELL is on Bway, so maybe Drama Desk?
And also LIAISONS..

funny they talk about st james for BOMBSHELL the a minute later you see BEAUTIFUL there
unless it is a very limited engagement...
Well he did mention her ending/leaving the show.
Jennifer Hudson singing "On Broadway". I LOVE IT.
It's on NBC.com, Hulu, Amazon Instant Video, and I believe iTunes?
It is very good so far! I wish they still would've kept "Created by Theresa Rebeck" in the opening. Looking forward to hearing "Cut, Print, Moving On..." in its full version on the CD.
Just finished part 1 of the 2-hour premiere and I loved it! I'm loving the changes to the show this season, and I'm also very happy to see them no longer making Ivy the "villain" of the show.
LOVED the songs too especially the new Bombshell number in the beginning.
P.S. I can't seem to find the episode to download on iTunes, does anybody have a link?
@kyl3 I looked on iTunes also, and it doesn't seem to be on there... maybe later today or something. The number from BEAUTIFUL looked really fun!
LOVED part one, looking forward to more and hope they keep the momentum going!
as someone who really did not like SMASH season1 i have to tell you this preview for season2 looks FABULOUS...and now that i finally got DVR i can record all the shows to not miss a single one...i am a huge fan NOW!
Jeremy Jordan sounded fabulous on Broadway, Here I Come.
At this point in the show, am I as a viewer supposed to admire or sympathize or empathize with Karen Cartwright? Because I still don't. Last season I felt I was supposed to see her character as having star potential and overcoming the odds to get her big break. Didn't feel any of that then, still not feeling it now. I like the original song numbers and want to give the show another chance, but I'm hoping there's a lot less of Karen the Muse and Superstar in the second season.

Loved it. Great suprise to wake up and be able to watch it.
The only thing I found odd, was Tom's comment about being single.
If my boyfriend went on tour, I hope we wouldn't break up... I wouldn't expect that of us.. Just intresting that Tom thinks they'd split. Maybe he doesn't like long distance.
Idk
Even as a huge fan of the first season, the preview of the season opener beyond exceeded my expectations. I think they are definitely going in the right direction with this show, and I can only see it getting better from here! It definitely seems like they looked at all of their weak points and are making an honest effort at correcting them. Updated On: 1/14/13 at 03:53 PM
the only question i have after watching the preview is...do Broadway-bound shows open out of town without securing a Broadway Theatre first?...that doesn't sound logical...anyone?
^shows rarely have theatres secured during out of town tryouts.

What a fantastic first hour! So far season 2 is off to a great start! And many of the new plots are all for the good! Andy Mientus is such a charm! Looking forward to see more of him on the show.

Let me guess, Derek and Karen do Hit List, Ivy leaves the Sean Hayes show to come back to be Marilyn once Tom takes over as director?
Wild guess.
