I imagine we might get a poster similar to this in the future?
I love the poster, keeping in mind that it clearly seems like a teaser poster (and to that end, for simply listing the amazing cast, designing it such that it seems like they're all being piled into a house with it's roof blown-off, it does a great job aptly teasing me to see it, at least.)
Also, the color scheme brilliantly calls to mind the sweltering heat of the play. It's serial-parakeet-killer-hot out there in August...
As for it being a comedy, well yeah... I actually thought the original production was one of those rarities in theatre: a play that so roundly rejects genre. It was comedy, tragedy, drama, melodrama, farce, romance, elegy, state-of-the-nation, kitchen-sink... it's a titanic script that refuses to be bound to the confines of one genre.

Both of them are good posters. This has a great cast and with the material should be a great movie.

Wait, since when is Sam Shepard in this?
Should Chris Cooper be at the other end of the table since he is Bev.
Sam Shepard is Bev. Chris Cooper is Charlie.
I guess I read wrong. Why did I think Cooper was Bev....hrmm.
Wish we didn't have to wait for November. They should be releasing it in August. Duh.

"Odds are against you, babe."
HA!!
With a cast like that, why is the trailer insistent on the first thing shown in the credits is that George Clooney and Grant Heslov produce?
Because they produced last year's Best Picture.
And they are George Clooney and Grant Heslov.
They should just open on a shot of Clooney looking sexily into the camera saying "Hey, girl. I'm George Clooney. Come see this movie. Would you do that for me?"
So I thought that trailer was pretty blah. It does nothing to pique my interest.

Argo is tied to almost exclusively Affleck for most moviegoers. And yes they are A-list producers but they are synonymous with some pretty mediocre movies that only seemed to have existed as Oscar bait that have faded from the public memory. People are going to see this movie for Streep and Roberts and the trailer really delayed that selling point.

The film as a whole looks great but Streep looks artificial. Julie Roberts looks fantastic though and will definitely get a nomination for this. Definitely will be a strong contender for Best Picture next year.

We might just be getting a bit ahead of ourselves.
As we are wont to do in these parts
Meryl Streep will win the Nobel Peace Prize for this.
They will throw awards at her while she walks down the street.

She's finally going to take home The Wiggy.
And she'll finally get that AVN Award she's been wanting for years.
The MTV Movie Award for "Best Pill-Popping Mother".
But seriously, I can't be the only one a little annoyed that the trailer makes it look like The Family Stone.
