The Last Five Years

I also wish I'd been older when I saw A Chorus Line so I could remember it.....

Btw, slightly OT, but I thought of you the other night, Jon; Saw Karen Ziemba at the DRS opening

Here are some shows I should have seen back when I first started earning a paycheck but didn't. I could kick myself now for missing these:

Gigi ('73); Mack & Mabel ('74); Chicago ('75); Home Sweet Homer, Pacific Overtures, Rex, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue (all '76)

Ditto Baddadnpa, Chess is at the top of my list. The one show I have never seen any live performance of, movie version or whatever of, but love the music so much. This is in my top three wishes for revivals, the other two (Into The Woods and Little Shop of Horrors have just been done) so come on, lets see Chess live again!

Zanna Don't, TL5Y, Carrie, Triumph of Love

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.

"This is what I trained to do, and this is what I love about theater. What I love about being an actress is being able to really look into myself and understand another human being. And out my own self, to shape and form and fashion a real human being--and to present that in such a way that people see something of themselves or their own understanding in that human being." --Phylicia Rashad
