Google "Equus." This is hardly the first production of the play to feature its lead actor nearly naked in its photos.
And I hope everyone in your avatar is over 18.
'I just hope the show has more to offer than a 17-year old's nudity.'
I hope this doesn't sound too snarky...but I really am shocked by how many people, it seems, don't know EQUUS. I mean...I read it when I was fifteen. Granted, I was an advanced child, but still!
i don't care if this is the 3rd thread, i'd still hit like an atomic bomb.
"IF I see this kiddie porn one more time I'm going to barf."
so, you do have some form of mental retardation? Cause well, the distance between what these pictures are, and what kiddie porn is, well you couldn't fill that cavernous gap with all the water in all the oceans on the planet. These are promotional shots for a play. They are completely legal, not mention, quite tasteful, and well, appropriate for the show. While yes, Daniel Radcliffe is young, he is of legal age in the country in which the play is taken place, The United Kingdom (also commonly referred to as England). These pictures do not contain any nudity.
Thank you, Liverpool. And I won't even accuse you of plagiarism.

BobbyBuddy,
"If I see kiddie porn one more time i'm going to barf"
exactly how many times have you seen kiddie porn?
yeah, i knew i wasn't the first one to say it. I just couldn't remember where it was said (and who said it) first.
well, if it wasn't proven before, it's proven now...
SEX SELLS..... and why not capitalize on it?
There is female nudity in Equus as well - who is the girl?
Of course!
Nudity. BAAAAAAAD!!!
I'm willing to bet those are American parents. Only Americans would be THAT personally afronted by someone else's (Daniel's) decisions and actions that don't affect them in the slightest.

Wow. People need to realize that it's acting. They also should realize that he is an actor, free to perform in whatever he likes, be it clothes or another movie or play. He's not really Harry Potter!
Please don't say things like the United Kingdom being commonly referred to as England. You're aware that England is a single country within the entity known as the United Kingdom, right?
Oh ffs, that link ANGERS me. The play is by PETER Shaffer, not Anthony. I've also lost count of the articles I've read over the last couple of days spelling it "Schaffer". Proof-read, people! *grrs*
the girl is Joanna Christie, and i wish they showed more of her in those pictures
weez, i know what the United Kingdom is, and it commonly refered as England. Most people don't differentiate. I know the difference, but that doesn't change the fact that the United Kingdom is often referred to as simply England.
That article is ridiculous...Sometimes I just don't understand people.
Often, and erroneously. Please don't continue to do so, or people might not understand you're going with common usage and assume you're correct. I don't know about you, but I get a bit annoyed when people get incredibly simple and basic facts about my country wrong. ^_^

Um...interesting. That's our Daniel.
"This is hardly the first production of the play to feature its lead actor nearly naked in its photos."
Obviously. But ALL of the photos? But just there don't seem to be any pictures that show him with clothes on (that I've seen at least). I know sex sells, but come on-- some variety maybe? He looks quite good and probably wants to show off his bod, but it just seems a little pandering...
"...but I really am shocked by how many people, it seems, don't know EQUUS."
I know EQUUS. I was just hoping that this production (not the play) manages to rise above this single-minded hype and promotion.
Is it coming to Broadway?
Mrs R is a big Potter fan & really wants to see him

I really agree with this: "I know EQUUS. I was just hoping that this production (not the play) manages to rise above this single-minded hype and promotion."
I saw the original production as a drama student in London and saw Peter Firth and Tom Hulce in it with Anthony Hopkins and Richard Burton on Broadway and I find these photos gratuitous and just NOT what the play is truly about. I think it will set a very wrong tone for the audience. For a play about language and spirituality and violence of many sorts, this is dismaying.
So, you'd rather have a photo shoot about violence?
Saw the original but it was so long ago I not sure if it was with Burton or Perkins. I think the latter
The movie is rarely on TV
