"Raggedy Ann" in Albany, NY...a couple of years before it flopped on Broadway. I was probably ten or so and I just remember it was scary and pretty awful in general.
I saw Curtains in LA
Saw a staged reading of In the Heights at 37 Arts before it's off-Broadway run as well as Spring Awakening at the Looking Glass theatre before the Atlantic Theatre Company. And just saw "Reasons to be Pretty" at the Lucille Lortel - and that's going to Bway in spring 09.

Not workshops but I saw Ragtime in Toronto 3 times before LA or Broadway. Also had the great fortune to see Fosse pre Broadway in Toronto as well with Gwen Verdon and Ann Reinking sitting 3 rows in front of me. It was a hellova good time. I think thats all tho.

13 at Goodspeed about a month ago. I don't think it will last long in New York unless there are MAJOR rewrites. They need to figure out who their audience is, and realize that the way adults think teenagers think and act...are not usually how they do.
It's basically a 1980's sitcom version of Spring Awakening-with none of the brilliance.
Also saw Seussical in Boston before it transfered-and saw it again in NYC. I liked it both times, but Boston was better. They cut out the Lorax part in the second act, and I think it really helped the story. Of course it has been reworked so many times now-that Boston show is a far distant memory.
Company Revival - Cincinnati
I saw this with great seats and was lucky enough to be there on a night when they had a Q and A after the show. It was a wonderful experience even though Raul and Barbabra Walsh did not participate
in the post show activity.
Saw the ones which opened in San Diego the last few years
Big River
Jersey Boys
A Catered Affair
Cry Baby
The Farnsworth Invention
Chita
The Times...
and Young Frankenstein in Seattle

I saw Young Frankenstein in Seattle . All 3 hours of it . With the Alone scene still in it ! Loved it then . Love it in its shorter 2 1/2 hour version as well . They chopped a lot of funny stuff out .
