"Woah, we are straying." Just a tad. Back to the mourning and showtunes.

Guys, wickedlover'94'. I'm not trying to be rude to her or to you guys, but I'm 99% sure that he put his birth year on his username.
"There's nothing good on. The media hates Christmas. The media loves vampires, though. Maybe they will show a Twilight Christmas." -Danmeg's 10 year old son.
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Hey, AndAllThatJazz22, did you put your birth year in your username? That would be a shock.
But on the topic of songs, the first that came to mind was "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" from Evita. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but I just thought of in the movie how in the beginning, it's sung at her funeral.
I second "I'll Cover You (Reprise)" from Rent. And "For Good" from Wicked. I think maybe "Everything I Know" or "Alabanza" from "In the Heights" should be considered.
In my own funeral, I'd like to hear someone sing "What I Did for Love" from A CHORUS LINE.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
BAHAHA DCR. I was thinking of posting that on the 'Seduction Songs' thread.
Oh god, I could maybe deceive people into thinking my AGE is 22, but not the last 2 digits of my birth year! I'm not Arthur Laurents, ya know.

"I'm not Arthur Laurents, ya know." Awe. I feel bad we're all picking on poor Arty today.

Are you an upcoming Freshman, DCR? Ah...Freshman year, good times.

My Freshman year was fun!! Middle school had to be the worst 3 years of my life, but High School is a completely different world. You'll love it!
