Anthony tweeted that he will be out of If/Then for several weeks as he is recoving from knee surgery. I am dissapointed I'll miss him when I see the show next month. Hoping he has a speedy recovery.
Hoping his recovery is quick and smooth. Coming from someone who has played soccer in college, I've seen ACL's torn from the hardest impacts to someone just jogging. Glad the surgery is out of the way already!
Jackie is performing at Broadway in Bryant Park tomorrow, hoping she's on for Idina tomorrow night as well! I loved Idina the two times I saw her- but I'm a big fan of Jackie too!
^Jackie will be there as stated along with James Snyder, Jenn Colella, and LaChanze. I'm really happy they're giving Jackie a chance to promote the show!
Also, Stephanie Klemons was on as Elena for today's matinee (7/9)

It is very common for many leads to opt out of doing Broadway in Bryant Park and other public appearances like these. steven22, chances are you will probably be seeing Idina.
I think Idina in Bryant Park right now would be absolute mayhem. Will be happy to see the others and Jackie singing. Also looking forward to the Wicked cast. Haven't seen this incarnation yet.
he is taking over for Curtis while Curtis playes Lucas instead of just having swings Marc Delacruz and Charles Hagerty go on. I think this situation with Anthony recovering from surgery might turn into the same situation with Matilda with Craig Bierko and I can see Curtis take on the role full time! He is amazing the part!!!
Caught the show on Friday (7/11) and I hate to be so negative, but I found Curtis quite painful. His first number was EXCELLENT, so I had high hopes. But anything involving a nuance felt so painfully flat. The character (who I assume when Rapp plays the role) would normally be endearingly annoying, was just plain annoying.
And I disagree ethan231h, I would assume Rapp will be back in as soon as he can be. May be three months, but I still think he'll return.

I saw Curtis in late June and he was very good However I love Anthony Rapp and was very disappointed I didnt get to see him perform. his role was the only understudy besides the role of Enjorlas that i saw in my 11 shows this trip.
Anyone knows of any dates that Jackie is going on? I know the show was cancelled two weeks ago because Idina was performing elsewhere, but I've seen Idina 3 times in the role and really hoping to catch Jackie or even Jenn as Elizabeth
Unfortunately, as far as Jackie going on, I really wouldn't hold my breath. I highly doubt she will ever do it unless there's an emergency and Idina calls out, in which case there won't exactly be prior publicity. The show just loses far too much money without it's star
Yeah, in the great interview on the radio (posted at this site) Menzel said, "We don't like Jackie to go on." No, it wasn't necessarily glib or narcissistic. She amplified that having her name above the title for the first time in her career is a commercial reality/enormous responsibility. A star is a star, and she's part of the ticket price. This star clearly owns her obligation to filling the seats. This is what artists pray for, you know, stardom.

It looks lIke Kristoffer Cusick left now that Anthony is back and Curtis is back in his track. Megan Lewis also left her swing track and Alex Michael Stoll is now a swing. Updated On: 9/18/14 at 01:47 PM
I believe Alex Michael Stoll may just be a vacation swing as it appears Miguel Cervantes is on vacation this week, so they're one swing down with Marc delaCruz on for that track all week. Megan Lewis was in a similar position since she was there when Janet Krupin would be on for Stephanie Klemons all week.
