Rushed for last night's show! Immediately after nominations, I knew it would be a special performance so I went to the theater at about 10:30. Got two seats (no idea how many people had lined up prior to box office opening). The seats were pretty great! They were on the right side of the orchestra about 4 rows back. Having seen the show from the balcony already, I absolutely loved sitting up close and getting to see the beautiful acting being done on stage. You could see Carmen Cusack's tears in "I Had a Vision." It was so incredibly moving and the seats provided such intimacy.
I rushed it twice, and was far left and far right in the 3rd and 4th row I think. Nothing much happens in the wings, so you don't miss anything with the side view. They are great seats! I think the first time I got there around 11 or 12, the other 2:30 or so. It might get a bit harder with the Tonys (and Drama Desk) noms now though.
My 2 friends and I rushed on Sunday and we got 3 seats together 4th row extreme left orchestra. The woman at the box office said she also had a bunch of single seats available that were center orchestra. The theater was only at what I would guess was about 60% capacity though and it might be different now that Tony noms are out, but best of luck!
I haven't rushed since previews. I got there just as the box office was opening on a 2 show day and was given a center orchestra seat, 4th or 5th row. Went to the show again last night and as I was picking up my tickets at the box office, around 5:20pm, the man in front of me asked for rush and he was seated front row, all the way to the left. Honestly, it looked like a horrible seat, he was pretty much staring at the wall if he didn't turn to look at the stage. But, he was still able to get a ticket at 5:30!

Forgot to mention we got there around 12:45 for the 3pm show. No line or anything.
Walked up around 3:30 to try and get a ticket for tonight and was told they were out of rush. Sitting in the balcony ($39 with a discount code and I actually really like the view from there for this show).

I saw the show from the balcony today through TodayTix (sounds like it would have been cheaper to buy at the box office with a discount code, though!). The view from the balcony is great! When I saw the show in previews, I was rear orchestra on the right hand side. I much preferred the centered balcony seating.

Isn't the balcony at the Cort kind of high? I sat front row balcony for This Is Our Youth and thought it was far away. I moved down to orchestra second act. You think it is a good view for this show? I am going to attempt to buy a rush ticket on a Wednesday, two show day. If they run out of rush, I don't want to choose wrong. I will have to get that code that Starcatchers was talking about just in case.
^ I guess it all comes down to personal preference. I prefer the mezz or balcony towards the center over any type of rear orchestra or side orchestra seat. The balcony is a great view for this show, though.

I don't have it handy at the moment, but the code is on Theatermania and it's good for the front balcony. To me, it didn't feel as far away as it looks like it is. That being said - I've sat all over for this show, and if I had to pick one place to sit every time, it would be the front row of the mezzanine.

Starcatchers, I found the code last night on Theatermania. But thank you anyway. I wouldn't have thought of the discount if you hadn't mentioned it. I'm hoping not to use it. But will opt to sit there in balcony if only available rush is against the wall.
Cash or card and the $30 is including the facility fee :)

A friend got there today at 10:15 and got the last tickets for tonight. Not sure where they were.

Makes me so happy to hear that the demand to rush tickets is picking up! But reminds that I missed the grosses yesterday, gotta go find them and have a look.

"If I remember correctly, they increased about 6%, it might not be a huge increase but it's always nice to see a number with no negative in front of it!

Remembered correctly. Well, if they add 6% and $50,000 each week from now on, they'll be happy as a clam in no time Fingers crossed the upward trend continues and they get a few more awards come Drama Desk time!
