Just back from the last show today and what a blast.
TDF gave us last row orchestra. The orchestra was totally full. The audience was really into it. Simard brought the house down with her slot machine number. Crowd was beyond enthusiastic. Lots of well wishers. Show was pure unadulterated fun which sadly did not find an audience. This was a show that made no pretense of what it was & what it was trying to do. It was flat out funny and made you forget all the b.s. in the world & in your life. You would have more fun here than some of the stuff still on Broadway. It should have a healthy life on the road. In addition to Prince, Bart & Yorke were standouts.
A really fun afternoon in the theater We are glad we saw it. On to Blackbird tomorrow. By the way, a fight almost erupted in the orchestra. One guy was talking throughout and the guy in back of him asked him to stop talking. He became louder refusing to stop & it almost came to blows. You could see them continuing to verbally fight after the curtain came down after Act 1.
I was genuinely confused, I'm so sorry. I thought you said two members of the orchestra started fighting. That would make a hell of a headline, though.
They/them.

CindersGolightly, for future reference "orchestra" simply means the main or ground floor of seating -- called "the stalls" in the UK. Sorry it confused you.

Oh I know! I'm dyslexic. I just read it wrong, that's all.

Why didn't this show catch on with tourists? Reportedly tourists make up 70 percent of broadway audiences. Even though it's not summer yet, I thought Disaster would have done batter financially, and it got some good reviews. I'm glad I got to see it. I thought it was hilarious.
