In an interview with New Jersey Monthly magazine, she says she's "I’m bursting at the seams" to talk about it.
So what do we think? Mia in La La Land, perhaps? Or something that's in the process of testing out of town like Hercules or next year's The Great Gatsby? Maybe something we haven't even heard about yet?

Ashley Loren just announced she’s departing Moulin Rouge in April. I think Rachel is wayyyyy too young to play Satine but - maybe? Lol.

Rosabella in a large-scale revival of MOST HAPPY FELLA?

I would say Hadestown over the summer, but Eva recently signed a 1 year extension to her contract.

I heard rumors of Piazza transferring to Broadway after Encores. She would be a great Clara alongside Ruthie.

I would think she's above replacing, currently. But maybe she's not? She'd be great in Piazza.

Maybe she's the next Fanny Brice?

Now that's inspired. Not sure she'd keep the momentum going quite like Leah? But maybe so?

It would def require a new Nick Arnstein –– a 23-year age gap would be icky for this show. But she'd sound terrific and is very funny online.
Curious about how well she'd sell in any show. After the new Shazam movie, she's the star of a Hunger Games prequel coming out this fall, and then next year has a Snow White live-action film for Disney. She's going to mean much more in late 2023/early 2024 than she does now. Also wonder if replacing in Funny Girl could be a Nick Jonas in H2$ situation –– the audience has been exhausted and she's not enough to get people to see it AGAIN (which for some of us would be for the 4th time).
My first instinct would be "she's not replacing anyone," but Fanny is quite a different situation than Satine or Hadestown.

Rachel Zegler is 21 so La, La, Land, Hercules, and Great Gatsby would seemingly be off the table. All three leading women in that are meant to be closer to 30. Most Happy Fella would be lovely, but ain't happening in our wildest dreams.
I really hope it's a soprano role, if it's something new. Her belt is equally stunning but we need new soprano roles for younger actresses.

I think it’s currently rumored the singer JoJo will be replacing Ashley
Isn’t Rachel attached to the upcoming Evita revival premiering at ART?

Closer than you think... closer... "Closer..." Nine inch Nails... Trent Reznor... that's it, Robin! Rachel Zegler is a singer... singer... Marla Singer! She's obviously playing Marla Singer in the long-gestating "Fight Club" musical from Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Julie Taymor! Quickly, to the Bat-TKTS stand!

I would love to see Krystina Alabado as Evita, side note.

I have to imagine Alabado will be continuing with Kiss My Aztec! if the plan still is to come to Broadway later this year.
I think Zegler will be doing the ART Evita, and if Bad Cinderella gets trashed and the underwhelming grosses continue, Evita will most definitely get the green light, so as to continue Lloyd Webber's unbroken streak of having at least one show on Broadway.

Yep, can confirm she’s talking about Evita at the ART (unless she is somehow attached to something else as well)

Are you basing the Bad Cinderella grosses on...two? performances??? Less than a week of performances????? Seriously????

Yep that’s the one! It’s an evolution of the City Center production from a few years back and also eyeing a Broadway transfer next season.

Probably meant to say advance ticket sales have been underwhelming so far, but we’ll have to see how BC fares gross-wise throughout the next several full weeks.

I thought Sammi Cannold’s Evita at City Center was a really interesting (if imperfect) production so I’m glad to see it’s continuing on.
I’m curious to see how Rachel Zegler fits into it, though. The big “gimmick” of Cannold’s production was the use of two Evas, one younger and one older, with the transition happening at the end of “Buenos Aires”. Zegler seems like appropriate casting for the young Eva, but it’s really not much of a role.

Man, if she is in fact doing ART's "Evita" I am seriously going to lose all sense of reason and dissolve into a puddling mess of theater geek gooeyness. ![]()

FINALLY. Also, anyone know if she's signed a recording contract? I would genuinely love to pay to hear her sing. Beautiful voice.
