Judging by ticket sales so far, it looks like the Merrily transfer is already a hit.  Looking forward to catching it again.

Also hoping for the rumored remount of Chess

Rumored revivals of Pal Joey & Kiss of the Spiderwoman would be interesting.

I wonder if Back to the Future  will actually be a hit?

I think Back to the Future will massively flop. I think NYCers are pretty savvy when it comes to musicals, and this might have some cool tech elements but the score is awful and it’s essentially just the movie. But who knows. Cats ran for how long?

I'm curious what age group they are trying to target for this. I might be in the minority as I have never seen any of the films but the musical really isn't on my radar.

for me, it’s the inevitable broadway transfer of the notebook.

There are rumors of the West End Cabaret coming with Eddie & Jessie. Is there anything new on the Secret Garden? Also, Back to The Future will not Flop one bit. It probably will be mixed received, at least.

The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince

I do think this will be highly anticipated, interested to see if it's a "hit". How did her one woman show sell?

I don’t know if you can call this list biggest anticipated show cause 2 of these London transfer are just rumored and the other one is not even rumored to transfer at all but I’m really hoping these three West End shows would grace the 23-24 Broadway season:

1. Freknall’s immersive Cabaret

2. Paul Mescal in A Streetcar Named Desire

3. My Neighbor Totoro

also I’m excited about the reopening of The Palace theatre.

As someone who paid $480 for a 3rd row first preview orchestra ticket, it better be the best show of the year! Lol... commercially it seems guaranteed at this point given how many of the shows are already sold out in the first two months.

That one also looks fabulous. I wonder who can play Tammy Faye on broadway?  I know Katie Brayben won the Olivier but wouldn’t it be interesting to have it recasted here?

Recast a two time Olivier winner with universal acclaim for the role? Why bother.

There's no way anything that we know of is beating Merrily except Cabaret if it transfers.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I have to imagine Merrily has the best advance of any show announced post-Pandemic.

There is, of course, the chance for something to pop up that becomes the hot new ticket, but it's hard to envision something.

Chess is indeed planning for next season. I hope the Cabaret rumors are true, too.

Next season is about to make this season look like child's play, musical-wise.

We already know we're getting:

  • Once Upon a One More Time
  • Back to the Future
  • Here Lies Love
  • Merrily We Roll Along
  • The Wiz

Then I'd put all of the following on transfer/announcement watch:

  • Cabaret
  • Suffs
  • The Notebook
  • Lempicka
  • Evita
  • Joseph
  • Pal Joey
  • Spiderwoman
  • Tammy Faye
  • Secret Garden
  • Chess

I'm sure there are some I'm forgetting too.

It's gonna be wild.

Forgetting GREY HOUSE - I think this could be a pretty decent dark horse, if it does horror well there's a pretty huge gap in Broadway for this niche and it could pretty readily become a mainstay like WOMAN IN BLACK was.
