Well, when my friend saw Wicked, (keep in mind it was the day after Thanksgiving)and during Popular when there is dialog in the middle of the song, it was silent and Cheno farted. Then she was like oh sorry it must have been from all the turkey i ate yesterday. My friend said that Idina could not stop laughing.

I saw Cabaret when Heather Laws as Sally. During 'Don't Tell Mama' her boob fell out of her lingerie, and she didn't notice until five minutes lader when NPH came on stage and whispered it to her.

One time during Wicked, during Popular. Kristin sat up on the bed then suddenly spilled over, fell off the bed, smashed her head against the floor. A trapdoor opened, swallowing her legs and she pulled herself out only to break an arm. Idina tried to help but the bed suddenly lurched forward and pushed Kristin who proceeded to roll into the orchestra pit, knock over a harp, and end up on the tuba. Blood started to leak from the back of her head and the conductor accidentally stuck his wand up her nose.

Idina couldn't stop giggling.

BSoBW2: I punched Sondheim in the face after I saw Wicked and said, "Why couldn't you write like that!?"

Nathan Lane for whatever reason could not get through his first scene with Leo or the scene right before "Along Came Bialy". His adlibs were hysterical! re: FUNNIEST MOMENT EVER

Well this didn't happen on a stage, but it's funny anyway... when I saw The Wizard of Oz on Ice @ Madison Square Garden years ago, Glinda was skating around the ice and fell completley over. And think of the movie costume which was duplicated for this show and no one could get her up because the dress was so huge. So, the cast on the ice had to push her (all collectively helping) to the side of the rink and she hoisted herself up. Most hysterical thing I've ever seen. The whole process of watching Glinda rolled around like Violet from "Willy Wonka" when she turns into the blueberry...haha.

And if she'll say, "My darling, I'm yours!" I'll throw away my striped tie and my best pressed tweed, all I really need is the girl...

Not really funny, but kinda odd...at Rent a couple of years ago, Manley Pope and Matt Caplan were on stage and Matt (Mark) had just said, "Maybe because I'm the one of us to SURVIVE!"

Someone in the audience BURST out laughing. LOUDLY. The two guys actually looked at the audience with very confused faces on for a brief second before they went on.

Two moments I loved...

In THE PRODUCERS, Nathan Lane was hot in the courtroom scene. It got to the part when he explains that he was filthy, rotten, sneaking, underhanded (or whatever he says)... then the punchline is "but i had no choice, i was a broadway producer!" Well, he finished the run of filthy, rotten, sneaking, underhanded... and just as he was about to let the punchline go... someone in the audience cracked up and was laughing and choking. The audience laughed at that, and Nathan didn't get to finish the joke. He just looked out int the audience like the diva he is, and gave the look of death. As the scene progressed, he never recouped, and instead of saying "Don't hellp me" to the singing little old ladies, he just turned around and said "SHUT THE H*LL UP!"

Another beautiful moment was at GYPSY. Bernadette Peters and John Dossett were just about to begin the song "Small World." There was a wicker basket that Ms. Peters sits on before she begins to sing. She sat down, and sang, "Funny, you're a stranger who's come here, come from another town..." and just then, th lid of the basket slipped into place (it wasn't closed properly) and she almost fell right on the floor! And since her next line was "Funny..." she and Mr. Dossett cracked up! The song was as beautiful as it always was, but every time they sang the word "Funny" they cracked up all over again. Oh i love live theatre...

Sorry. more wicked.
I liked when Fiyero swung on with the rope which then wrapped around Glinda's head nearly pulling her offstage.

I can't narrow it down to one moment, but seeing the off-broadway production of Debbie Does Dallas was the most that I have ever laughed while at the theater. Basically nothing can top a Porno-spoof. Loved loved loved it.

My very first musical was a production of Big River. There's a scene where Huck and Jim eat chicken on their raft...well, some clever ninny on our crew just bought some KFC and put it, red/white box and all, into the picnic basket.
So, our Jim, being who he was, kept trying to take the entire KFC box out during the scene. Huck, of course, kept trying to put it back. It made for one heck of a funny back-and-forth as the dialogue just kept going on.
I think that the audience missed it somehow. The cast, however, had trouble for the rest of the show.
