What score to a broadway show do you think is the most beautiful? Mine has to be The Secret Garden by Simon and Norman. A close second is Ragtime.

Just wondering!

I second Secret Garden and Ragtime, and add A Little Night Music and Passion.

You all might think I am weird for saying this because it is mostly rock music, but I say RENT. It has a beautiful plot and the music is just so...rich, and...powerfull! Everytime I listen to "Goodbye Love" I brings me to tears.

I totally agree with you, CrAzIaBoUtReNt, the Finale of Rent when the "Another Day" theme plays and then the low chord, and they all look and Angel runs on...AHHH!!! A beautiful moment in theatre!!! And I get goosebumps everytime I listen! Good choice!

Now, I haven't heard a lot of the older musicals, but here goes...
-West Side Story
-The King and I
-Les Miserables
-Sweeney Todd
-The Lion King
-Aida
And for some reason, I find certain moments of Wicked to be beautiful too. Ditto for Cats (well okay, just Memory)
