I don't know if you remember this, but a few years ago there was a Broadway "Jockey" billboard in NYC.

Does anyone know who appeared on this Billboard and what show each were from?

Thanks.

Oh geez... I remember this billboard and I actually used to have a poster version of it.... that is, till my basement flooded.

Um.. there was a Mimi from Rent and a Merry Murderess from Chicago... I'll have to see if I still have the scan on my desktop at home because that's all I remember off the top of my head.

there was a castmember from 1776 and one from Miss Saigon (who was unbelieveably HOT). Also Smokey Joe's and Scarlett Pimpernel I believe.

I loved that ad.

The hottie from Miss Saigon was Matt Bogart. You can view of the billboard at his website. yes, it was a wonderful ad campaign.

I always wanted a copy of that huge billboard! I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I remember I tried to get it at a Jockey store near my home, and they wouldn't give it or sell it to me.

Bastards!

Thanks everyone, but who are the actors on the Billboard?

The only one I know is Matt Bogart because it's from his website.

I HAVE that very ad adorning the walls of my old bedroom! With the Mimi and the Chauvelin and others in their Jockeys! I was like 12 years old and had just started doing the Broadway and Les Mis listserv discussions, and someone posted how you could just write Jockey a letter raving about their products and asking for a copy of the poster. I did this, and 2 weeks later received a postage tube with a nice form letter, a coupon for a free Jockey item, and the poster. This might still be an option, but people did tend to be much nicer back then.
