OH MY GOD. No.
I'm sorry; I think this show is brilliant. That makes me really upset... especially since they apparently don't have rush anymore, and I've not seen Michael Cavanaugh.

Did it (or will it) become the longest running "dance musical" on Broadway? Assuming you don't include Cats, that is.
huh. I wonder if it's even worth it; I want to see the band, obviously (Michael).

Oh, Michael is great, Em. He's a brilliant man.
Oh, he's lovely. And quite talented. I saw his understudy. meh.

It's under the stage....you don't miss any dancing, but you have to look way up to see the band....not thaaaaat bad tho.
Awww. Thats sad. I love that show.
Awww I liked Movin Out.
awww that's sad news. I'm even more depressed that I will now never see it.
That's sad, but at least it's closing in a few months, giving more people a chance to see it before it closes.
So I'm guessing Tarzan is going into the theatre?
This is so sad. I never got to see this show but I'm definitley going now. Very depressing news.
While it is sad...I'm really proud of Movin' Out. They had a (fairly) long, successful run on Broadway, great touring productions, and they're going to go out with a bang. Now make room for Twyla's next Broadway project!
the worst show i have ever seen is closing...im sorry for the people losing their jobs...but happy for Broadway! and for the lovers of authentic theatre. I actually think it would be a good Vegas show. Not a Bway show though.

I've never seen Movin Out, and I probably will never get the chance to... but it seemed like a great show.

It is a wonderful modern ballet and it is sad that this amazing show is closing.
Saw it last weekend. Enjoyed it for what it was but I did not think it was the greatest thing since sliced bread as many here seem to think ( & are free to do so )
My problem with it, like CONTACT and Matthew Bourne's SWAN LAKE is that they aren't musicals they are ballet's. I don't think they should be TONY eligible in the musical slot but should rather be put under special theatrical performance.

I felt like I could have had the same experience, and a lot cheaper, by putting on a DVD of any Twyla Tharp piece with the sound turned off while putting a CD of Billy Joel's Greatest Hits on the stereo. I saw it before Tonys and the audience sat like stumps until New York State of Mind at the end. Then they applauded themselves enthusiastically.
Yes, Disney has secured the theatre for Tarzan.
