I see she's playing Golde as a Brooklyn cabbie....who can't sing to save her life.
I wanted to hear It's Nice to Know! I was like.. oh they cut the end out... and then they cut back to Do You Love Me, and I thought YAY! And then they cut out right before it ends... Not that the end of that song would have to end the video... because Fiddler is full of tense violin tremolos which could easlily bring them back to the To Life finale... but I digress. I wonder if she'll grow into the role a bit more, or she could sing it a bit more... because she can a little bit... I don't know about "If that's not love, what is?" But She could make it a bit less... Brooklyn? And move the song a bit more.. but in the shots of her with her daughters, and the other parts, she looked totally motherly. I don't think it's a bad choice... but I wonder who else could have played Golde in the end...
She's better than Randy Graff, I'll tell you that.

I'm just doing it based on the video, Munk. Her singing voice didn't really thrill me in that clip, since she screamed the high parts. I'm not judging her based on a performance I haven't seen.
Harvey, however, was great. It was a pleasure seeing him and Andrea Martin on stage.
Andrea Martin was perfect in the role. Rosie is such a big personality that it's hard not to see her when she plays a role.
Harevey however, IS Tevye.
When I click the video it shows Harvey and Andrea, not Rosie..
Make sure you've cleaned out your "cache"
Rosie screamed that one line as a joke, but you can't get the joke because they don't show the whole song. She doesn't do it as a cop out...
I know I may sound stupid but I am new so bare with me.. what's "cache"?
I cleared my cache and it still showed Andrea Martin.

I saw “Fiddler” last night and it was wonderful. I always wanted to see Harvey Fierstein live –I just love his voice.
Rosie did a wonderful job as well as his wife.
One comment on the feathers, I was sitting in the very front row and had to close my eyes because they were blowing all over me. Contacts/feathers don’t mix.
I cried during the train station scene and when he wouldn’t acknowledge his daughter, Hodel. It was very touching.
All in all it was a most enjoyable show.

Sorry for double posts. The laptop I bought for this trip is very sensitive and I’m not used to using a touch pad.

Rosie was not bad at all.
My computer is showing the Andrea clip as well. :/
Thanks for the post Craig. My curiosity to see Rosie in "Fiddler" has just been fulfilled. Funny how just a few seconds of footage has appeased any desire I had to see her in the show. I'm sure she might be good but I'm sorry...I still feel the woman has no right to appear in ANY musical regardless of whether one can get by using the "talking technique" in conveying the lyrics. To be honest though, for the little singing she did do she actually sounded on key pitch wise.
I have a friend involved with the production who says it's a crime that she is even allowed on that stage.
I guess talent is no longer a prerequisite on Broadway.
From the footage I saw in the video, it actually made me want to see it even more. I think Rosie does a fine job. That role doesn't require you to have a high ability to sing.

Nice accent Rosie, "it doesnt change a TING!" She reminded me of Ralph Kramden in turn of the century female peasant garb, ohhhh the humanities!!! "To the MOON Tevya-bang zoom, humana humana humana".
Actually, if you listen, that was harvey's "ting"
Wow, she needs to learn to speak English and not be all Brooklyn-fied. I personally loved Randy
