I knew this couldn't be true. But, I still would have liked to seen Mambo Kings.
After seeing a dance they did in Brant Park when the RENT cast sang I was wishing it came to Broadway.
That was no laughing matter.
I took lots of pictures of every ad I saw for Mambo Kings as well as its marquee... I knew it wouldn't happen
my heart stopped just now*
NOT. FUNNY.
*runs into a corner and weeps*

trying to make me have a heartattack, ay?
...i knew you were joking, dont worry!
:)
Um...
HELL NO!
This is too funny! I love it. Thanks for the laugh!
I thought this was one of those old April Fool's threads that was resurrected...
Not only is Mambo Kings taking over the theater with performances starting May 12, 2006, but the show will then somehow alter the fabric of space and time for an Aug. 18, 2005 opening.
If you people actually believed this subject title when you read it, you deserve to be fooled.
wow, scared me a little bit. But how could playbill make this mistake?
It's easy for them to make the mistake: they're human. Contrary to popular belief, Playbill.com is not run by cyborgs. (I don't know what I mean by that)
oy! not funny!
Holy cow! I was about to scream "Thank God!" But, I guess not.... What a huge mistake! What happened to editing writing?

As bad as "The Mambo Kings" was, it was better than "Lestat"! At least it had interesting sets and lighting. It didn't have a very good score, though, and that is deadly for a musical.
