"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."
Conan O'Brien
MARY POPPINS will probably take Best Musical, Christine Ebersole will most likely win Best Leading Actress for GREY GARDENS, and A CHORUS LINE will most likely win Best Revival of a Musical, even thought it will have competition from COMPANY and LES MISERABLES.
"I'm just a musical prostitute, my dear." ~ Freddie Mercury
Stephanie J Block, "The Pirate QueeN" Ashley Brown, "Mary Poppins" Charlotte d'Amboise, "A Chorus Line" Christine Ebersole, "Grey Gardens" Audra McDonald, "110 in the Shade" * (Winner)
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Alright, this is going to sound stupid (and it probably is), but where do you find out which musicals are coming to Broadway next year? I'd hear about Mary Poppins, Les Mis, and A Chorus Line, but where do you find out about the rest?
Welcome to the boards. Not a stupid question at all. I actually find out through this board so stick around long enough and skim the boards every once in a while... you'll be brought up to speed in no time. Updated On: 6/13/06 at 01:26 AM
Lea Michele-if she is good, I think she will at least be nominated for best featured actress in a musical for "Les Miserables." She has a great role (Eponine) that has a lot of depth, a compelling story, and great songs.
Les Miserables, may win best revival or special event(or whatever the award is titled), whichever the Tony committee thinks it best fits.
