WOW. Looks VERY interesting. Looks totally different from any Cabaret. Looks even more creative than the recent Broadway revival.
The costumes look unbelievable.
I wonder if the book and score will follow the original production more? Include songs like "Why Should I Wake Up?"
Hope to hear a lot about this from the Westend theater-goers.

I hope we get another recording!

I'm not loving the look, honestly, but we all know I'm stuck in my ways and my preferences. The costumes are stunning, but overdone, IMO. I'm surprised it's already being revived again on the West End, either way. I get the impression it'll still have that dirty, sexy feel the Mendes production did, but with less of the minimal simplicity.
Looks Awesome!
those pictures are intriguing. I would be interested in seeing more so they seem to serve their purpose.
I'm kind of liking the costumes, but I actually think they're too colorful. Isn't the Kit Kat Klub supposed to evoke the depressing, seedy world of 1930s cabaret? Rich colors don't convey that as well as black and white.
I will say this, though: That Emcee is HOT!! I think he looks a little too healthy for the part, but DAYUM! But then I've always had a thing for redheads...
I definitely like the color scheme. I just feel like it's too much... stuff. I'll be curious to see more, though, for sure.
saw the show in previews. It amazing, but VERY VERY VERY RACY!
Care to give a review IAMmyownMUSICAL? I would love to hear all about the production!! Looks beautiful.
I didnt think the show was in previews until tomorrow. I'm seeing in on 5th Oct and i cant wait. Rufus Norris is a fantastic director, and i think he's gonna put a new spin on the show. I'll give you a review once i've seen it
The show was in limited previews, and I happened to be in london when they had tickets avaliable for it at TKTS, so I totally lucked out!

*picks jaw up from floor* I am going to London to see thiiiiiis. WOWZA.
So, do you think it will transfer?
It hasn't even been three years since the Roundabout production closed, so would it?

I honestly doubt it. New York audiences seemed so bored with Cabaret way before it closed. First it was an interesting concept, but then everyone saw Alan's performance and left it at that. (Except for the Cabaret fans.) I think the show would have closed MUCH earlier if they hadn't had a constant stream of "celebrities" in the show. Raul Esparza also managed to stirr up some excitement once he took over the part. He almost reinvented the show, but that's a whole nother story.
I dont think you could have seen it in previews IAMmyownmusical.
This begins previews today.

Wow! I'm loving the look. When I first got tickets for this, the main reason for me to hear the full score live, but this is shaping into something I'm really starting to look forward to.
IAMmyownMUSICAL, What was James Dreyfus like as the Emcee, how did he play it?

No one knows- previews begin today.
WOW!! Those pictures looks freakin' amazing! They need to go ahead and film this and release it on dvd or something because I really want to see the "darker" cabaret.
The first preview (tonight) has apparently been cancelled...
It looks, based on these photos, that they've discarded the 1930s feel and moved it into the 90s or the 00s, which suggests it's going to be slightly more political in tone, with a few parallels that might make some large country (say, the US) uncomfortable. This isnt a pre-WW2 look, it's a pre-"Coalition of the Willing" look.
I dont know how well it would work, but hey, why not.

I think it looks pretty dark, yet not without color, and really cool.
Off-topic, spider I Love your av...When I opened my first season of House and saw that I thought it was So cool.
Looks hideous to me. THIS is supposed to be the 1940s? Call me old fashion but ill always be a fan of content over concept, and this show, from these photos looks all concept.

It looks like Santino (Project Runway season 2) is designing the costumes.
