With stink of old fish mounting at the hilton, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall as the producers met this morning to count the advance and plan the stategy. You can't spin pricelss quotes from these reviews. Sadly, the public knows a loser and no big tv budget will save this boat. Perhaps they should add a ghost, a few beatles tunes, mario cantone and take this ship to vegas. I know bad reviews are hard to stomach for a string creative team - but folks this show is not good. My opinion only - this show has no soul and no direction. Reco to producers and investors - take the write off.

Way to start a completely unnecessary thread!

every show should be debated and discussed - that is the nature of our business. Are you a cranky cast member?

^ Umm there are plenty of PIRATE QUEEN threads you can debate and discuss this.

Most currently the review thread.

I'm not a cranky cast member. If you paid attention to any of the other 50 Pirate Queen threads currently vying for attention, you'd easily find out that I dislike the show. But your post could have easily fit in to the Pirate Queen review thread. Your thoughts weren't so original or clever that they needed their own thread.

wow - that chip on your shoulder is huge. This wonderful site is about opinions and discussion. I am so sorry I failed to dazzle you with clever words. Perhaps we can meet under the poster for pirate queen at joe allen and recite from a book of clever and original quotes. How about next friday?

You can always say in a polite way "Search for one of the similar threads debating the same subject", there is no need to be rude.

Entertaining and all as this is, I wish people would calm it all down for a while. It's getting to be a very tiring Friday on the boards.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

As long as an Ape Man can swing on a vine?

They have already begun spinning, just watch the PR people work.

Isn't it weird that a cruise ship was sinking off the island of Santorini as the opening night curtain was going up? It completely sank after midnight....

Just what I was thinking, CurtainPullDowner.

Tarzan is still going.

The cast just needs to sing some songs on Oprah or other TV shows to sell tickets.

Say, does anyone recall the term for that open sea punishment they'd give a sailor where he'd get hauled by rope underneath the ship to its other side and he had to try to hold his breath to come up alive? It was in some famous old Hollywood movie...

It's analogous to how shows sometimes outlast reviews to survive.

*apology conducted in private, not unlike Grania and Elizabeth's grand discussion behind an opaque wall, depriving an entire audience what it had waited two hours for*

Carry on about your business!

It's called Keelhauling, where they drag you under the ship's keel tied to a rope. To punish you, they did it from gunwhale to gunwhale (side to side), where the barnacles would tear you up some. If they didn't like you, they would drag you along the keel from bow to stern (lengthwise) and few survived that. Yo ho!

Shakespearean the Pirate.

Yeah, I was toooootally off. I think I was thinking of scurvy, which obviously is not it, as long as the cast gets plenty of Vitamin C.

Keelhauling! That is it!

Like outlasting bad buzz barnacles from b*tchy balding critics...

I haven't seen it yet, I'm just getting around to Grey Gardens...

Can't you start a new thread if you want to? Is there a rule not to do it if a review thread is already posted? I thought the review thread was where articles about the show were posted.

I don't think this show will run very long. I foresee the following:

1. This show crashing and burning.
2. Bryan petitioning the producers to release the cast album.
