I snagged a pair for April 23 and i'm very excited! I just don't know how high the stage is at the St. James, but since the orchestra is on the stage I know it's going to be very close.
In the front row you are literally facing a wall. It is right up in your face. You can turn your neck up a bit to see what's going on on stage, but the lights all along the edge of the stage are going to obstruct your view.
They really should sell those front row seats as student rush, because they are obstructed.

Yeah figures that I bought them. I should call telecharge and see if they can move me. I want to be front row but if i'm going to be missing the show so much i'm not gonna be a happy camper. Hmmm
I had seats in the front row, extreme left, for THE PRODUCERS at the St. James and they were terrible seats, far too close to see what was going on. I had gotten them at TKTS. Live and learn.
What exactly is front row center at the St. James? Row A or B? I regret buying the tix with all of this 'too damn close' business. I'm nervous I won't enjoy the show.
^^ Row A is the front row. I'm in row A seats 101 and 102, which sucks because i'm gonna have crappy seats that I paid 117 dollars for. They should mark them partial view.

Thanks for the info. guys. At the last minute, I went ahead and got them. They are right ORCH row A, seats 102-104 (aisle). Like Glory, I am now afraid I might be regretting this purchase. Oh well, I guess we'll just be gazing at Patti's nose hairs a lot.
I just realized that there is a row BB in front of our A, so I think that we might be OK. Wow, I think that this is the most I've ever obsessed about the location of any theatre tickets.
I was in Row E last night, and it was the fifth row from the front.
