I saw him in Legally Blonde in the beginning of July and he was fantastic. But I heard he's leaving at the end of august and I'm going again in October and really wanted to see him perform again. Is it confirmed anywhere that he's leaving?
I was also wondering if anybody knew of a way that I could meet him?
Just to be a little helpful (sorry guys, I'm in a cheery mood), though I'm not sure when he's leaving, I wouldn't suggest stage door. I have stage doored twice for LB (once with Laura Bell and once accidentally a few weeks ago after Bailey/Autumn's first performances) and neither time did he come out. So not really a safe bet...
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
As far as I know Christan very very very rarely comes out the stage door. I have actually never heard of him coming out. So I would either try before the show starts or wait at the exit that you go in to get to the theater if you really want to meet him. But just remember there is a reason he doesn't do the stage door.
I met him before a matinee show on a saturday. He's pretty friendly if you're not weird to him i think. He seemed very adamant about the fact that we DID have tickets to the show that day, which we did.
anything you do let it come from you and it will be new.
I think his reason for not stagedooring is pretty obvious. I don't think he's a huge fan of the fangirls/boys that this show has created. He's just really a simple/normal dude that is in this show.
Just my two cents. I could be wrong.. but i'm pretty sure from what I've seen and heard it sounds like it's a good deduction.

Isn't it kind of obvious that when an actor chooses to not come out the stagedoor, it's for a reason. They know fans are there. They know what they want. The actor might have something else to do, wants time to relax, or is not really that into talking to fans for half an hour.
I've only seen Christian out at SD a few times, mostly in the beginning of the run over a year ago. Oddly enough the only time I've seen him in the past year signing stuff for people was a day when Bryce was on as Emmett. He was coming in the stagedoor for the evening show and it was right after matinee got out and someone caught him and he started signing.
I mentioned to him that I had seen the show a few times and never saw him and he said that "I sneak out". haha, yeah we've noticed.
Seems to me that part of Broadway performing IS stage door signing. It has been since the Stage Door Johnnies waited to offer diamonds and pearls to the Ziegfeld chorus girls in the early 1900s.
If someone doesn't like doing the door, maybe they should watch Broadway:The Golden Years or reconsider their career priorities.
Then of course, there's the great story of the aging and retired actress who politely told everyone who asked for her autograph, "I'm sorry, I don't sign anything for the public nowadays, you see, I'm retired and I really don't need you anymore."
I have no problem with an actor who doesn't do the stage door. They're under no obligation to go out and interact with fans, and it is in no way "part of Broadway."
If this was like the scene in "My Favorite Year" when someone mentions "the show is live" and Alan Swan says "LIVE!!!!???" I would understand but you know going in that the fans are going to gather at the stage door at a Broadway show. It's not as if he didn't know this when he signed the contract. Signing autographs has always been part of the Broadway experience and he's the male lead in a show that attracts lots of kids who are easily disappointed. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Should it be mandatory? Probably not. Should he ignore the fans probably not.
allofmylife, Have you read what most people are saying? Apparently he has the decency to go out a different door rather than doing the far ruder and more disappointing thing some people do of going out the primary stage door and brushing off any requests (as has been done on more than one occasion at shows that are considerably more "kid-friendly" than LB).
As long as there have been celebrities, there have been people wanting their autographs. But they are not under any obligation to give them. Regardless of where they work or are. From my understanding, generally the contract for a Broadway show does not mandate signing at the stage door (there have been conflicting reports that it may in fact be in Disney contracts).

LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!
I saw the show 4 times and stage doored each time and Christian never came out. I am always usually by the theatre before the show too just waiting around for it to start and I still always miss him walking in. I can understand and respect his choice for not coming out but I would really like to meet him one day because people who I know have meet him said he was really one of the nicest guys. But like many people have said I guess it is not really part of his job to actually stage door and sign. I am also waiting to see when Christian's last day is too because I would love to go to his last show. I keep saying that this is going to be my last time seeing this show and yet I keep going back! I hope they announce his last day soon! Plus I really wanna see him in a different role now!
Oh jordangirl I never said he HAD to do it. I just find it weird to do Broadway and not WANT to do it. I can understand his possibily not wanting to do it while his current GF is the star of the show, that may have been awkward, but now....
Oh, and on how you accidentally stage door: on this past trip after a day of seeing shows, I was trying to get back home but the pedestrian traffic was not moving. At all. So after a while I start asking why and it turns out it was people stage-dooring for Legally Blonde, only there were so many people they were just crowding the sidewalks. I saw Autumn, who I really liked and was thought "screw it", got in line, and stage doored. I only felt half-bad since I had seen the show a month and a half before with the same exact cast, except with Laura Bell and it seemed my only opportunity, as I have no plans of seeing it with Bailey. Anyhoo, that's my two cents.
