Curious as to why today and yesterday's shows were taped in advance? Thursday's show was taped Wednesday afternoon, not sure when today's show was taped. Joy's out this week(anyone know why?) and Whoopi is off to the UK this weekend.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

The VIew was LIVE today. They were all discussing Kanye’s visit to the White House, which took place yesterday afternoon. Joy mentioned a few weeks ago that she was going on a cruise for a week. I assume this was that week.

I think the show has been going really well lately, especially this past week. Will only get better once Joy comes back.

Also, loved having Sunny as moderator on Friday!

Considering today was their first show with all five of them this season, today's show was great. Meghan and Abby really balance out the table now. Ratings are very high and I'm sure ABC is floored with the show right now. Let's hope no one else leaves after this season.

I wouldn't say heated, just Meghan and Joy being themselves. Yes, Meghan was a brat, but Joy changed the subject(both times) to just bash #45. I find it hard to believe these two are friends outside of the show.

"Would you want to be friends with Joy outside of the View? She is too self involved to sustain any real friendship with anyone outside of the show. She would need her cue cards just to be able to carry on a simple conversation with someone. Too much work and not worth the effort.

It was boring but the first five minutes had me HOWLING! Joy as the Midterminator, Abby’s incredibly awkward Gaga, Whoopi as that baby vampire, Sunny in that bald cap, those two queens in the audience dressed as Joy and Whoopi and that Meghan shade in her entrance announcement. I was laughing the whole time.

She's basically taking Paula's spot and will likely be able to fill in more during the week, something Paula either was unable to do or didn't want to do. Kind of saw this coming, just expected it sooner.

I think it’s good news! Variety says they tried pursuing her full time but it fell apart due to salary demands.

I usually pass on Fridays unless Whoopi is there. Just don't care for Joy as a moderator. But the bitchfest between Meghan and Ana on Fridays is unreal.

yes it was and I typically pass when Whoopi is out. Having Abby there now to help balance out the table with two conservatives is such a bonus this season and I'm happy to say that I prefer Abby over Ana. Ana's not a true conservative and always bashes on Meghan and it's was always one against four. I like the balance this season and today was Abby's first real sign of getting fired up over something and it was great to hear her counter Sunny & Ana.

Great episode, but Meghan really can't move on from an argument like Abby and the others do. She holds a grudge for the rest of the episode after an argument.

And, IMO, Abby > Meghan. Abby lacks some pop culture stuff, but she knows her facts and comes prepared. Abby also has a warmth to her that Meghan lacks. Meghan just yells all the time to get her point across. Their ratings are very high and the producers are loving every minute.

Don't think I've ever seen Joy get as angry at another panelist as she did at Meghan today.
