This is why I do all my shopping on-line.
Yeah, I just said that the people camping outside was no concern to the store, not the employees. Seriously, if you have to skip doing Thanksgiving with your family or friends to sit outside a store for almost 24 hours to buy some damn item, you really must have nothing better in your life. Sure, I understand that you can get the best deals on Black Friday, but the same stuff will probably be discounted through Christmas, but just not as heavily.
And for some reason, I perfer to go to the stores buying present for people, but I like getting it done early before all the vultures come and are rude about shopping. It just isn't worth it.
Consumerism in the US is appalling. I can't imagine it's this bad anywhere else.

I'm with you Stockard Fan, I love shopping online. So often you get free shipping as well. My grandbabies are getting a trampoline for Christmas, I can't imagine carting that around, it's going to be sent straight to their house.
I've never been a holiday shopper. The traffic, the parking and the crowds of Zombies, I'd rather bake cookies.
Yeah, we drive 8 hours to my mom's so it's just as easy to ship the stuff straight to her house and wrap it there. Plus then I don't have to worry about anyone snooping.
Of course then we have to lug it all back.
worse....2 women in Toys-R-Us in Palm Desert got in a fight yesterday, and the two men with them shot each other to death...crazy

Isn't it amazing how crazy people are over sales and discounts in times like these!
Happy Holidays to all!

If it wasn't unconstitutional, I'd say the most fitting punishment for every single person who was at the Wal-Mart that day would be to work retail full-time for at least a month. Smile for the customers, guys!

I thought only those on Wall Street were greedy & unfeeling.
It looks like Wall Street mirrors the rest of the nation.

"I thought only those on Wall Street were greedy & unfeeling."
You were wrong again. I have seen nobody on these boards suggest that only Wall Streeters are greedy and unfeeling.
Another Roxy fantasy phantom.

Yes.
I worked in retail for a year.
How I survived, I'll never know.

While I agree that Wal Mart is partly to blame, I cannot fathom how people cannot know they are stomping on someone lying on the floor. This wasn't a life-or-death panic emergency. These are people who willingly stepped on each other until someone died. They should be jailed. Period.
i seent it. there was a second trampler in a walmarts unifrom what come up behind him and pushed him down. dint have nuthin' t'all to do with them folks knockin' them doors down. i thinks he was assassinated and the order come down from mr. walmarts hisself.
