And her statement about her upcoming bundle of joy? Not so joyful:
When life gets tough, there is no other option but to get tougher. I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” she wrote. “But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy

She should have paid more attention to her abstinence message, but she was too busy being pregnant, I guess.

"I know I am fully capable of handling anything that is put in front of me with dignity and grace.”
Does she not realize she's Bristol Palin?

And that includes, apparently, a nice big cawk!

I do not want to slut-shame the girl, but really... Certain things pass out her upper lips, the opposite passes into the lower.
Bless her heart...she doesn't seem to be a closer.
She needs the Bible
Between her knees, to keep them together.
Does she not know how to use a condom or other forms of contraception or does she refuse for religious purposes? Usually when people fear disappointing others they take precautions to prevent said disappointment. You can't tell me she got pregnant twice while properly using a method of contraception.
I will inflame many, but I feel this way: When Limbaugh slimed Sandra Fluke and slut-shamed her in myriad ways, merely for responsibly owning her sexuality, the progressive world reeled. Me included. Now I'm reading many people, particularly on FB, who can't find enough gloating words to do the same to this unaccomplished, in every way inconsequential Palin offspring. We are quick to denigrate both her sexual behavior and her decisions about its consequences, the framing issues that appalled us about Limbaugh's misogynistic treatment of Fluke. To my thinking Palin's hypocrisy is matched by ours every time we attack her choices. Yeah, she had a high six figure job to talk about abstinence. The irony isn't lost. We get it. But the high road is ours to take, and we'd do a better job with this issue if we (to quote Margo Channing) just shut up about her. Just shut up. If we endorse women owning their reproductive rights and sexuality, we should force ourselves to be disciplined enough to remain consistent, to stay clear of the rhetoric and trash-talk that characterize the right. If we dared (gasp) even defend her, we'd be startlingly true to the cause: Feminism doesn't only cover the women (and men) we admire; it's for everyone. Just my two cents.

Except nothing about her history suggests she owns her reproductive rights. She comes from a family of sex-negative conservatives who believe it's their power to impose their beliefs on others. It's like when the Palins and their supporters framed Sarah Palin carrying Trig to term as a "brave choice," when these people do not believe in choice whatsoever.
Auggie, I think your point comes perilously close to the "You don't tolerate my intolerance so you are intolerant" argument. If the mean liberals hurt her feelings, Bristol can cry into the hundreds of thousands of dollars she's made from being an abstinence spokesperson. As their god says, you live by the sword, you die by the sword.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!
Every woman owns her reproductive rights. Even those we don't like, who use them in ways we do not agree with.
That's my point.
I do not in any way support this woman's abstinence education or her hypocrisy. Or her. I want her 15 minutes over, not sustained.
I am not asking for tolerance for her or her POV or activities.
I am saying, far more simply: if you slut-shame one woman, you slut-shame them all. We have to be better than the tactics of the right. My post I believe makes that clear.

Well, maybe it will be a teachable moment for all of us, and we'll all be a lot less snarky when she announces her next unplanned, unmarried pregnancy.

I'm conflicted because I'm not into slut shaming at all. I do have huge issues with people who make a lot of money criticizing people who don't fit their weird definition of traditional family values. Now including bastard offspring and "just over the clothes" incest but still no room for the most mainstream gay couples who want to get married.
Maybe if Sandra Fluke had made her living telling people not to use birth control the comparison would fell more apt to me.
I, too, am disgusted with the words "slut" and "whore" being thrown around in regard to Blister Palin.
Most of the sluts and whores I know are awesome people who wouldn't be caught dead with this brain-dead normcore tool.

How different is Bristol Palin from the Right Wing closet cases who vote against the LGBT community, whip up hatred and then gets caught with a "Wide Stance" in a men's room or with a Rent Boy in a hotel room? She has travelled this country preaching Abstinence Only making a fortune in speaking fees and in a sense Slut Shaming young girls who are sexually active.

I'd say there's approximately this much difference: ><
And you worded that beautifully SNAFU.

She should thank her god that the SCOTUS dropped the marriage bomb today because it really hastened the half-life of her story.
What do we think she'll name it? I hope Tronn.
The problem is she doesn't know how to keep her legs closed and her mouth can't keep her mouth shut either!

No, the problem is she apparently doesn't know how to use birth control.
Ah, but she does! Saran Wrap and Scotch Tape!

She probably thought she didn't need to know about birth control because she was going to get married. Going to. But like most Memorial Fay weddings it crashed and burned like the end of Summer Lovin in the Grease movie. At least she got her suit damp.
