This stupid effing article from Matt Walsh caused me to lose a close friend, I guess. Her daughter, 21, posted it and said she agreed with it. It seemed VERY out of character for her and I told her it was crap. We had a back and forth on her post and a status she assumed (wrongly) was directed at her. She ended up deleting everything she said. All was good until papalovesmambo jumped in with typical papa hilarity. Now her mom, my close friend, feels like her kid was attacked and made fun of. Moral of the story: DON'T POST BULL$HIT IF YOU DON'T WANT DEBATE! Grrrrrr.

Caitlyn will be fine. She is safely protectested in the bubble of Fame, Fortune and Celebriiy. I worry for those outside the bubble. I fear a backlash.

Matt Walsh is a vile human being, who panders to the very worst of the Right.

(He also shares a name with Matt Walsh, one of the co-founders of Upright Citizens Brigade, who is a great human being).

Their is outrage over the fact that she is receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at this year's ESPYs, but I have to agree with what is stated by Nina Mandell in the article I am providing a link to when she wrote:

"...the comparisons of things that Jenner is receiving to other people is ridiculous. There will never be enough recognition for all the wonderful people in the world who do courageous and brave things. But using that as an excuse to not honor someone because she’s transgender and different from you isn’t honoring people you admire. It’s just false outrage."

I talked to my Aunt about this last night and she had some interesting things to say. She hates the Kardashians as much as I do and has similar views as I have regarding the media whoring Caitlyn is doing, but (and she's in her 60's) said to me basically that people need to understand that this is basically new to most of society and "we don't all live in New York City" (which made me laugh). The fact of people surgically changing their genders is weird to a lot of people and it's going to take time before it's considered normal. And she has a point. We're still at a place where gays and lesbians are still are thought of as "weird" by a lot of people and we were born this way without undergoing elective surgery (And I'm not saying trans people weren't born that way, so please don't bite my head off for that). But for someone to elect to go get their genitals removed/reshaped is disturbing to a lot of people and it's going to take TIME and probably a lot of it.

Taz, Jenner is actually being awarded the ESPY.

Your aunt sounds like a very smart and reasonable woman.

That's great Jordan. I abhor people who use their faith as a weapon their narrow minded views. It's the ultimate hypocrisy.

Oh wow. Thanks for the link taz. If people would just take a minute to check out the information being "fed" to them a lot of these unnecessary dramas would be avoided. Some take everything they see/read at face value, especially on the internet and some are just too quick to jump on their soap boxes. It's an everyday thing on this very lovely thing called the internet.

Just so you know, we should not use the word 'trannies'. Like ever. Also, we should no longer call Caitlyn Bruce nor should we use the pronoun 'he'. No judgment.

^I just watched "About Bruce" the Kardashian special (I don't ever watch the show otherwise) and Bruce and Kris had a conversation, which seemed very real (but who knows what's 'real' on that show) that covered her knowledge during the marriage. There was also a convo between Kris and Kim that covered this as well. It was pretty insightful and it seemed like she genuinely didn't know.

He also spoke about the fact that he had tits when they met. So, she knew he had been on hormones, which he said in the Diane Sawyer interview, but she didn't know he wanted to be a woman? o_O

I was impressed by Kim's tape. She got mad skillz! LOL!
