Hallelujiah! If only the rest of America would follow suit.....
Equal rights AND Charo?!?
Both on the same day?
Beav, your cup runneth over with LOVE...
My lover and I are registered.
I can't find news on this anywhere....what I can find news on are the two petitions sure to be on the November ballot, one I believe to outlaw gay marriage in the state, and the other to deny any type of partner benefits at all...was in todays Riverside paper.......
I wish they would just be as concerend with the hundreds of dead Americans in Iraq as they are with sticking their nose in my bedroom.
HERE WE GO:

just two random ones I picked :0)
This is awesome!
I'm just waiting for the Republicans to raise their bigoted heads and start screaming for an amendment to "protect marriage". I expect the idiot we call president along with his totally corrupt administration will lead the charge.

Finally... this country can do something right...
The Country didn't - California did.
Heck, not even the state did something right, those activist judges on the state Supreme Court did it!

Oh geez... whatever... I stand by my previous statement.
Hey Bella,
I will stand by it when our Supreme Court finally overrides the Defense of Marriage Act and recognizes equality means equality, not equality for a vast majority of haters and homophobes.
thanks pinguin, finally last night I found it on the news
California State Supreme court has declared today that same sex couples registered as domestic partners MUST be treated by the same constitutional rights as married couples!
That is a bit of an overstatement. Although it is a step in the right direction. Here is what they really said...
Calif. Supreme Court News
Eep. Can you fix the link, Sue?
Any step in the right direction is a good step.
Oops, sorry. All fixed.
I was not trying to make you look bad, Beaver, I was just pointing out the fact that the court did NOT declare that same sex couples registered as domestic partners MUST be treated by the same constitutional rights as married couples. But that they must be allowed to enjoy the benifits of a Country Club. I said it was a step in the right direction. I am not trying to argue with you, just clearing things up a bit.
