Umm... don't think Sarah Palin did. But I would love for her to (says with a big smirk on face)

Did the two on the right fall when they got to the top?

Or did they just suddenly decide to roll around?

Why can't we just keep marriage the way it is. Gays will always have those civil unions. Live with that!

Really? Gays will always have civil unions? Not where I live or in the majority of the US. I would be fine with them if they were recognized on a Federal level and included ALL the same rights as marriages (heterosexual "unions" do), but they don't, so it is still legalized bigotry. Legalizing gay marriage would have absolutely no effect on heterosexual marriage, so the question is, why would YOU oppose it? You say you're not religious but you want to preserve the religious definition of marriage. Why?

Just because I have an opposing view that would restrict my right to marry I must hate myself?

I blatantly believe you blatantly do.

Because I believe in tradition. It has always meant one thing to the vast majority of people, and even in a place like California. Why try and force the American people to concede to something when they simply aren't ready... attitudes are changing in favor of it, can't we just wait. And for the last time... I do not hate myself... my god... you people are annoying with your belief that I must hate myself for being gay... I don't.

Some people weren't ready for women to have the right to vote.

Some people were used to women being their husband's property--a part of traditional marriage.

Slavery was a tradition that some people didn't want to lose.

Some people weren't ready for intergration.

Some people weren't ready for interracial marriage.

Some people need to learn to suck it up when other people's RIGHTS are at stake.

Why should I politely turn down my equal rights to appease other people's sensitivities? They will live. Their lives will not be affected. They lose nothing. In the meantime, I have everything to lose by not having those 1000+ rights and protections.

Tradition!

Marriages must be arranged by the panda! This should never be changed!

jrb_actor... are you seriously comparing the issue of gay marriage and slavery as well as integration. Umm... kinda a big difference between the two. Also, I am not saying civil unions are perfect. I think they should incorporate more rights to that... but why can't the "radical gays" leave the word marriage alone?

Question: Do pandas KNOW they're being funny?

(I think they do. I think they sit around and say to each other, in Panda-speak: "Oh, let's all do THIS. That'll really make them laugh!" or ""Quick! They're taking pictures! Number 2537!")

Sock puppets always think no one knows they're sock puppets. That's what makes them funny.
