'Morning! What a holiday! I'm exhausted.Good thing I'm off today - I need some sleep. If you ask me right now what my plans are for New Years, I'd have to say....sleep.
In other news, the front hall light fixture is not working and the dryer is over-heating. I believ an electrician is called for,
Seeing my family was fun, but have to drive back home today. Thankfully I'll be loaded with cinnamon rolls!

We are about eight hours away from 2014. So, may I send some New Year greetings to all the wonderful adults?! There are huge and crazy crowds around the Sydney Harbour foreshore, in fact some have been there since yesterday. All waiting for three separate fireworks shows on the Harbour and Bridge. It is a spectacular sight , so I can't blame them. It'll be quieter for me. Spent the day with a seafood picnic under the trees at Watson's Bay, a beachside suburb a short ferry ride from town. So, I've had a lovely NYE already. The fireworks can be lit without me. I'm quite content to see it all unfold on TV. Better view; no screaming drunks.
So, Happy New Year, my dear friends. I'll toast you all at midnight!
P.S. Sorry 'bout the Bears, Brd. They'll get 'em next season.

My plans changed for this evening being the host's Mom passed away yesterday. She was actually my Aunt through marriage. She's been sick awhile, but they didn't expect her to go this soon. It's weird that this family always seem to die around a Holiday. My mother-in-law died on Thanksgiving, her one brother was buried on Christmas Eve one year and now this. So sad. My friend still wants us to go over tonight more to celebrate her life than to ring in the new year. I can't do it. I'll celebrate her life at the repast on Saturday.

J2 has the day off. It's the first time he'll actually be here while "work" is being done.
I don't know whether to stay and record it all, or flee.
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
Moony, after I fight my way to the Port Authority when I get out of here tonight. Exchange is open for a full day. I am hoping to go home and just curl up on the couch. That's a nice NYE to me.

Boobs, sorry about your loss. I can understand why the host wants to go through with her plans though. My grandmother passed away on Christmas Eve 1999. My mom (her only child) had invited my aunt's family and cousins over (prior to this happening). My mom's attitude was that there would be plenty of time to mourn especially since nothing could be done because of the holidays, so she continued with her plans. Yes, it was a bit surreal, but it was nice to have family with us during that sad time. To this day, my mom, brother and I make my grandmother's cream cheese pastries every Christmas Eve as well as leaving a couple of them on her grave.
That being said, Happy New Year to all my BWW friends. I'm hoping to see Philomena tonight after work (hoping to get out early) and then be in bed before midnight!

You can certainly tell that the average age of the Adult Smoking thread inhabitants has crept upwards. We're all hunkering down for the night. Now to hear what our resident youngster, Tink, has planned...
We were originally just going to do a simple dinner /drinks/home with my cousin and her fiance. But yesterday he found out that a friend is in from out of town and someone is throwing a party. And of course yesterday I started to come down with a cold so I have been chewing down Zicam like tic tacs. Feel somewhat better so far today.
Part of me still hasn't processed that I actually finally have a date this year, and the other part of me is a giddy freakin school girl about it. :)
BroadwayBoobs: I'll give all of you who weren't there a hint of who took the pictures ...it rhymes with shameless
I'd love to just curl up and do nothing tonight. Alas, dinner at Dovetail. At least we'll be 30 blocks above the madness.

For a good laugh venture over to the main board and read the "Nick Adams going into Wicked" thread. WTF is wrong with these people? How do things always turn to Gaydom or is that Gaydumb?
