Three more weeks until I see Hamilton! Oh, did I rub that in, SOMMS? We'll reenact it for you this weekend. You'll be in the apartment where it happens.

That is awesome! I will likely see it 10 times during the run here.
I'm jealous of everyone seeing Hamilton, I would see it every day if I could!
It would be cheaper to fly to Chicago and get tickets there than it is to buy tickets now for the NY production.

L, that is true!
BWG - do you have your holiday shopping completed? We do have outside lights and indoor decorations. Tree next when girls are home from college.
Nope. Have barely started. Ordered a couple things online, but nothing major. Haven't even made out the list of who I'm buying for. That, and some tentative ideas of what to get is always done by now. I'm so discombobulated being out of work. I have no day to day structure, and it's messing me up.

I got the "you are scrooge" rant last night!

I haven't done much shopping yet either and I don't have a good excuse. Or even a lousy excuse. Just hasn't hit me yet that Christmas is coming. The temps being in the 60s might have something to do with that misperception.
Taking off from work early today to catch a train to NYC. Framiyl fun!! Yipee!!
Nearly finished the shopping. Just three to go. My schedule has been a little on the crazy side. So, many jobs that should've been completed last week will (hopefully) be done today ... or Thursday.
But, the tree goes up today! Woohoo!!! For musical accompaniment, I think a combination of Charlie Brown Christmas and Carols from Kings. Ah, tradition. You can't beat it.
Back home from my jaunt East - seeing Friends, Family and shows - it was a fantastic way to begin the holiday season!

Y - please better run down. What shows? Did D2 and Boobs get out of prison to visit?
Boobs is still stuck in a cell, but I got to play a bit with Deet and his better half, along with other Framily members.
The shows:
Both The Color Purple and Hamilton were amazing. Fun Home left me a little flat, but I enjoyed it.
Wonderful holiday gathering Saturday night, and a family Hannukah party Sunday.
Back to the grind at the office today.

Awesome! I LOVE Color Purple! I will likely just wait for Hamilton to come to Chicago! Did Addy make an appearance?
Broadway Legend Joined: 12/28/04
She certainly, did! Addy and I were fortunate enough to have lunch with YWIW on Saturday, then we were all at the holiday dinner together that night. great time - just didn't get much sleep so I still feel a bit jet-lagged. the weather was wonderful all weekend - almost too warm!
Ditto to what Moony said - it was fantastic getting to visit!

I may have forgot to mention that the sister that was here for rehab has breast cancer. Starting chemo tomorrow!

So sorry to hear about your sister, Brd. She's certainly had a rough time of it. I wish her well!
Brd, I'm sending long-distance hugs to you and your sister. Hope all is well.
We're having a bit of a heatwave down here. Tomorrow, cousins arrive for a festive afternoon tea. The forecast is for well over 100 degrees. Thank heavens for air-conditioning and a fridge! I think I'll climb inside. At least the tree is up, the wreath is on the door. Their presents are wrapped. The food is ready to be cooked, decorated, baked, pummelled, creamed, herbed, spiced and plated. That just leaves the nervous breakdown ...

It's not the holidays unless someone has a meltdown.

Wrapping things up at work. Counting the hours until the end of the day!
