I'm so old I used to listen to the original by Screamin Jay Hawkins on the radio, and got very frightened, so I'd change the station quickly.
I haven't heard Silence, but Annie's rendition wasn't scary, I liked it.

I am still stuck in the 80's in terms of music taste. I met Taylor at a press conference two years ago. She is very intelligent. A great speaker and after I listened to her music I became a fan. I admire her! And I love her music.
She is talented and very nice.
