DD- I'm so happy that your "maiden voyage" is off to such a strong start! This bodes well for the future - yours and the theatre company's. Love the poster, too!
Internet lines crashed at work around noon. A new part is being shipped in, but won't be there until early afternoon tomorrow. You won't see much of me til then - IF it comes in when expected. After all, it's coming FedEx.
I just had a meltdown at work.
Freaking idiots.
I think we have the same bunch of freaking idiots here, YWIW!
There's nothing like a little meltdown in the afternoon.
Or a meltdown in the evening! Hrumph!
Hiya, Hep!
I definitely have the same bunch of freaking idiots at my workplace... Where can we send them so they stop bothering us?
Boobs, have fun. I love golf.
Deet, I've had that same meltdown. Recently when I was in Chicago for business half my team decided not to bother coming in on time, and I was left waiting for hours for the answer to a client question... I was livid. And put one person on notice because of it.
YWIW - just remember - you have a vacation coming up! Deep breaths!
Moony - come back soon!! Tell them to fix that internet! Priorities, people! You have friends to play with.
DD - congrats on the ticket sales. That's great news!
I'm about to have another meltdown. A co-worker (she reports to me) just returned from a long maternity leave. I even gave her an extra month of work-from-home time (at my expense; I couldn't take a vacation because of it). Today she had the audacity to get pissed because I told her that she can't leave at 4pm every day, and have a regularly scheduled work-from-home day! It's the damn busiest time of the year, we have more work to do than we can possibly get done in the limited amount of time available, and while I understand that you've had a baby - I also understand that you committed to coming back to work. So live up to that commitment. *end rant* (for now...)
Sigh.
Ok, back to the grind. About to nuke a bag of popcorn for dinner, because it's all I have in the office at the moment. Meal of champions!
Later!
Early start to the day, today!
(See rant above - too much to do and folks not stepping up to the plate to do it, so I no longer sleep...)
This will be me later today:
Happy Friday!!
Enjoy!
Morning peeps! All set to go golf in the rain! Have a great day all! Keep checking the news for updates
Mornin'
RIPieces, Lamb Chop.
Good morning, kids. Hang in there.
Morning~
Addy, *hugs*!
D2 - awww, his first demolished toy, how sweet!!
Otherwise, Happy Friday. Happy Avengers Day!
I have to go out tonight but need to avoid the booze. I have one of those bootcamp trainings at 8:30am again. After already training 3x already this week. It's a sickness, I swear.
Better Lambchop than the Gucci's or the furniture.
Morning!
Wish I could be a fly flitting around the golf course today.
Working on end of month reports, so decided to work from home, and save gas and my wallet a bit.
Addy, are you hearing any reports about Scandal being renewed? I was looking around the net last night, and it looks promising. Missing, not so much. Not sure if there's a legitimate website to go to for info.
Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
Addy, that looks just about disgusting.
Found my travel fannypack, passport holder, airport pillow, and now am looking for my travel wallet - I have a feeling that one may be gone...
Happy Freaking Friday Adults!
Deet - I remember those days. Actually, those days lasted his whole life, Walter's goal was always to utterly destroy any toys he got. It was worth it, though. Having all the toys kept him from destroying our stuff.
Anxious about opening. I hope we've done a good job and folks like the show. We have 6 reviewers coming between today and tomorrow. I need a drink ...
I do love coming on this thread and reading. You are all such nice people. Refreshing.
We have our moments! :)
On christmas day we would give Chris's family dog Shamrock a stuffed toy with a squeaker, and about 10 minutes later I was cleaning up stuffing. So we kept it to a once a year event.
The vet recommended against any stuffed toy with a squeaker because they can (as evidenced with poor Lamb Chop) be ripped open and the squeaker swallowed. And it's so difficult to find any dog toy without one now.
Right now our A/C units are being installed and Max is more than a bit flummoxed. He won't let me out of his sight while at the same time wants to see everything.
D2; Going to Follies- Billy?
No, Dame -- no travel plans this summer so we wont be going out to L.A. for a while. I'd love to see Victoria Clark, though; I loved her in the Encores FOLLIES concert.
Honey did you move? I thought you were only a drive away?
I think you have me confused with the former DG, Dame.
I've always lived in New York.
Ha! I do. So sorry.
No worries -- we're so much alike anyway.
Tonight is Betty's grooming night. Need to roll up the sleeves and tussle with the poodle for a couple of hours. I do it to save money, but jeez, she really puts up a fight! So I try and do it in chunks and give her some time to run around in between trimmings. The upkeep on a poodle is tedious, but so worth it not to have dog hair all over everything, especially in a small loft.
Saw Jersey Boys again last night. Wasn't really interested in going again, but it was included in my season tickets and I was with my mother and friends, so I sucked it up seeing as how it is one of my mother's favorite shows (she was a teenager during the rise of the Four Seasons). During the show, I was reminded why it's such a huge hit and how brilliantly constructed the whole thing is. And hearing the audience go BERSERK after almost every number only added to the fun. Plus, it was fun to be with friends seeing it for the first time. If I can get a good discount, I may go back and take the boyfriend, who hasn't seen it, either. He's not technically a "theatre person", but he does love theatre and has worked in a backstage capacity on several amateur productions.
We're going to give Max a bath on Sunday night. I'm envisioning the canine equivalent to that scene in "My Fair Lady" when Mrs. Pierce takes Eliza upstairs to clean her up.
