G'morning.

Yay to the singing!

Yechh to the weather.

Hurricane Deet roared through the lobby this morning, and I'm not sure the new(ish) doorman will survive.

He has this habit of calling out to Max as we're leaving and returning -- and usually when the lobby is crowded and we're just trying to get Max in and out as quickly as possible. This morning, as we were coming back from our walk, the lobby was particularly trying, with one doorman going off shift, another one coming on, someone ( I suspect a neighbor's shall we say "date" from last night ) looking for his wallet, lots of people getting on and off the elevator -- it was a madhouse. As J2 is guiding Max through the maze and into the elevator, said doorman is just standing there calling out "Maxie! Maxie!" And of course Max has the focusing abilities of Karen Walker and Jack McFarland combined...

I snapped.

You can imagine the rest.

Not quite.

J2 just called me from the cab on his way to work. Apparently he had a conversation with the doorman currently on duty and I'm now the talk of the building.

In a good way. It seems everyone has been complaining about this other doorman being a little, shall we say, "off."

Sunday evening greetings.

We had a really nice birthday celebration with Mom. Not the easiest birthday this year (Dad's accident was the night of her birthday last year), so we did our best to celebrate. Lobster, champagne and the family all together.

Just posted some Olympics photos on Facebook. I'm now working on a few photos for the London sight-seeing album (decided to keep them separate).

We got our music for the funeral on Tuesday. We're singing 'What I Did For Love', 'The Way We Were' and a beautiful version of 'At The Ballet'. I have a feeling there won't be room to spare in the Temple on Tuesday. Such a sad, sad loss.

Wishing everyone a good week. I'll try to pop in as often as I can!

SOMMS - thought you were on vaca today! School starts a week from today. Bleh. Department chairs in for meetings today - all faculty and staff for the rest of the week. I want summer back, dammit! It's not even mid-August!

Maybe I just need chocolate....

I have so many things to do all at once that I don't even know where to begin.
So, I'm not doing any of them, and taking a BWW break.

Happy vacation weeks to SOMMS, Boobs and Girly!
I leave on Friday.
I just drafted my 'To Do' list for the week, and divided by the number of hours until my flight leaves Friday morning. Not sure it's all possible.
Oh well.

Hope the rest of us who aren't on vacation are having a good Monday! Bleechs, Ughs and all!

Good morning adults! The extent of my summer vacation was a weekend in Vancouver and Whistler, which was AWESOME.

Saving up vacation for the required week off at Christmas and two weeks in Costa Rica for my birthday.
