No big Powerball winner last night. I did buy a few tickets hoping I'd have some luck since it was my birthday. I just saw that there were three lower winners...$1,000,000 each. One of the winning tickets was sold at the Shop Rite down the street from me. I bought my ticket at a Krauzers. BUMM. ER.

Somms, let me know what you decide because I was recently shamed by my client into admitting that I still have an old flip phone...

I am SO done with this summer weather. It is just draining. I have no energy. I'm tired of looking frizzy. My ConEd bill is insane. I need a big dose of clear, cool weather to help me snap out of the pissy, crappy mood I'm in.

Bah humbug.

Although, I received one email today which lifted my spirits (in a sad sort of way). I was invited to join the chorus singing at Marvin Hamlisch's funeral Tuesday morning. I am really thrilled to be included. Sad because of the loss of this incredible man. But, really moved to be able to be a teeny tiny part of it. We are receiving the music on Sunday. There will be 3 songs from his body of theatre and film work. How in the world will they select only 3?

Could it be any muggier? There were downed trees and branches all over the place today on the drive in -- from that freaky-ass storm we got last evening. And, there were five area houses that caught fire from lightening strikes. Spooky.

yeah, this humidity needs to end. and the non stop threat of rain. Some people have plans, ya know!

Luckily, after 2 weeks I think they are finally done ripping up and paving my area of the parking lot. I've had to battle for parking many buildings away the past few nights and that has not made me happy. Plus my bedroom windows face that side and with this humidity and heat, the tar and such are even more not pleasant smells to have wafting through your apt.
