First of all, my condolences, Hep. It must have been a sad ride home. There's always next year. You may have to remind me of that if the Yankees and/or Nats lose their respective pennant races.
Secondly - what color are you having the kitchen painted?
Sleek and white, Moony. we have lived in this apartment for about a dozen years. The kitchen had black granite benches and shelves and windowsill. So, a little brightness is welcome.
Moony, while the loss wasn't fun, the truth is the team didn't play well enough. We didn't deserve it. The team finished on top of the league after the regular season. But, by the end of the year they didn't have anything left to give. As you say, there's always next year! But, we had great seats and we enjoyed the day. LIke a Super Bowl, a Grand Final is a beast all its own. In fact, the whole week leading into the game is a bit of a party here in Melbourne. Fun even if your team is not involved.
Good morning, kids.
What I read from Moony and Hep's sports talk ... blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, kitchen, paint, blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, SoMMS, that's what I read too!
G'morning.
OPERATION: TAKEDOWN is taking on a life of it's own, and I couldn't be more thrilled.
I speak hep and moony fluently... been there so many times with my dear Giants.
Morning.
Have to take mom to the eye specialist today, fun.
Tink, I like tall men too.

DC's celebration last night must have rivaled Melbourne's. The nats lost their game but STILL clinched the NL East Championship. The city exploded!! I was so much fun to watch on TV. Our friend, Dottie D'Lucia, was there in the stadium.
The above was written for the benefit of Hep and Tink. D2 and SOMMS are still wondering what show was playing in the stadium.
So, the nats are a Nat King Cole tribute band? Is Natalie lead?

Oh yes, and she sings, "Take Me Out to the Ballgame".
Smart a$$.
I was just happy that the Cowboys went down last night......
:)
Tink, you're never going to get married if you don't let them spend the night.
that's the point
I wonder if American Airlines will let me bring a screwdriver in my carry-on luggage for my flight to Chicago today? In case the seats need a little tightening...

If you drink enough screwdrivers you won't even notice the seat coming unhinged.
Oh...wait...not that kind of screwdriver?

I just an invitation to a private screening if a new film. The director's looking for a test audience for feedback. Remind me - why don't I live in NYC again?
Yeah, why don't you?

I know - right?!? Some days there's just no good answer.
Morning peeps! I guess it's time to catch up on my DVR being the UK drained my bank acount for the month. Speaking of Brits, Frankie is being a little pain in the a$$. He keeps wanting me to let him out to chase squirrels.
Awww...sweet Moppy.

I feel your pain, Boobs. Max has discovered squirrels after blithely ignoring them all summer. He's fascinated by them now, and doesn't quite understand why I won't let him chase them to his heart's content.
The little bastard almost pulled my shoulder out of its socket this morning.
Let them eat squirrel!!!

It's NYC. It happens.
Have you ever heard a squirrel's call? I never had until yesterday. It sounded like a cross between a bird and a purring cat. Odd.
