"And Kelly can dish it out but she can't take it. She's being a childish little B-I-T-C-H! "
yeah thats why she has gone on snl and did several sketches spoofing herself.
harris: She didn't say "HEY DONT TOUCH MY MOUTH." She said about his hand, "I don't know where that's been."
I think that remark was left up to interpretation, IMO.
sm2 i know,, the meaning behind it was that. it not like she said "dont touch me you f*&g

I think only angry gay people would interpret "I don't know where it's been" as "I think it's been someplace GAY and I HATE that!"
Guys. Chill out. My lord.

Kelly is a nasty bitch. Rosie is right on!

Not if it had been a seemingly straight guest host. If Clay didn't have the gay rumors, then I don't think there would be such an uproar among some members of the gay community.
dg-right on
jimmy-kelly rippa is nothing but sweet, my ex rommie works at disney and has met her several times and she is nothing but nice.

Sorry, but she didn't seem very sweet to me when I saw her with Clay and heard her on "The View". I don't like her anymore. She should apologize for her nasty "I don't know where that hand has been" remark. We all know what she meant.

I agree - but that doesn't have anything to do with Kelly.
jimmy
did you see the whole show with clay and kelly? or just that lil clip? he was a rude jackass the whole show . and not sweet becuase she stood up for herself and told the facts?????? and didnt let rosie slap a nasty gay hating label on her .
dg, you just don't understand the gay struggle!
That's because he's a wealthy elitist who shops with abandon at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. I shop at Piggly Wiggly. Power to my people!!

Look, they ALL need to apologize. It doesn't need to be made into a massive deal like this. I am not a particular fan of any of theirs, and I think that each of them have their own faults. I realize that it's a social norm that Kelly would be able to touch Regis in that way because they know each other, but if Kelly shakes people's hands and touches things she would have just as many germs on her as Clay would have, unless she took care to rub her hands with sanitizer before putting her hand over Regis' mouth.
Secondly, Clay is being a diva and that is unnecessary. I never knew that he was such a bitch--I'm actually a fan of his music, I own his first CD. But I agree that it is totally impolite for him to do what he did. it could definitely be misconstrued, just as all of their comments, and he needs to publicly apologize.
Rosie needs to lay off, and I know the feeling. Sometimes I can get a little aggressive as a "women's rights" activist. Sometimes peopl eneed to telll me to cool it becuase I take things that aren't sexist as sexist. And this time, I think Rosie is being alittle too aggressive with the homophobic thing. It's going to alienate a lot of people who are on the fence about gay rights. Like my mother. She saw this clip on MSNBC last night and siad that the problem she has with homosexuals is that sometimes the base lets it "define them". It's a problem, sometimes. Rosie needs to cool it and DEFINITELY needs to apologize.
Really, it's not that big of a deal. But they should just apologize, all of them, and maybe it would go away.
This incident asside . . . I can't STAND Kelly Rippa. BLAH!
Just one P, spidey.
See, I don't care enough about her to spell her name right. haha.

I think anyone who would let Rosie's comment take them to the other side of the fence probably really has a lot to learn anyway. People aren't always going to agree on what's offensive. That's just how things are.
i think anyone who listens to rosie on any subject has serious troubles anyway.

I pretty much thought Rosie's bigger priority was to link Clay and 'gay' together.
I hope not. If this is true, I expect her next big priority will be to link peanut butter with jelly.
kringas, you just don't understand the gay struggle!

"Cheeze - the only one who isn't coming out on any positive note is Clay. I'm assuming he's not represented by one of their companies . . . "
(sorry - just saw this this morning - I can't believe this is still going on...)
DG - Clay told Mary Hart in an interview over this incident on ET last night "I would LOVE to have a talk show". Now - maybe he should take over or replace Megan Mulally - I don't know. It still seems very contrived to me.
Everyone knows I love Rosie to death - but face it - she is a loud, self absorbed lesbian, and the fact that she acts like the only "out" celebrity in the world is starting to get on my last gay nerve. Even sadder to me is the way she reads all things negative into the gay community/lifestyle. She jokes (seriously) about seeing a therapist and we all know girlfriend has some issues. I just hope that she gets some of them resolved pretty darn quick before the train that is her life jumps track.
I saw it last night.. um I think Kelly WAS making a gay joke about Clay, but not with malice. I think it was about as bad as that Sport Anchor (who also worked for Disney) said something like "that's kinda gay don't you think." Kelly’s pretty quick with her humor, and that was her dirty joke reaction to his stupid behavior. To be honest it’s a lame joke I would have made. It’s had NOTHING to do with flu season. I’m sure Kelly has seen the Enquirer stories on Clay while she was looking for ones about her. Remember the cyber-sex scandal?
I don’t know how many of you have been closeted or are closeted, but this kind of thing is generally mortifying. I was on a football team most of my adolescence and I took most jokes and quips as personal attacks. Every time I heard the word faggot, I could feel the blood rush to my face and my pulse would start pounding. I was so nervous I would be pointed out. The difference is that Clay has to deal with this in public. I can only imagine having my sexuality discussed on national television.
As much as I don't like to agree with Rosie, I kinda do here. Kelly was really defensive (as she should be). I'm sure she's not homophobic, she like Clay does not understand time and place.
Rosie went a little too far. I kinda wish Star Jones was still on. I would love to see more fighting. Joy makes gay and fat jokes about Rosie every show.

Can I agree with IHG here?
I think they should all apologize, kiss and make up. They would all look better for it.
