Who watched that heated telephone call on THE VIEW this morning? YOWZA.
I ***LOVE*** me some Rosie, but she looked defeated and didn't want to admit it. That's the type of face that gets made fun of on celebrity gossip TV shows.
She had a point, but when Kelly said it wasn't intended to be homophobic, Rosie should have accepted and apologized. Fine, she made it clear that when it aired as a gay person she understood Clay's action...but Ripa explained herself and Rosie should have let it go.
OK, having no knowledge of this situation, who said what to whom and why?
No--wha' happened?
Was just about to post about this. The whole scene looked very uncomfortable. It was obvious the Rosie was really pissed off but didn't want to get into it on air. I was surprised to hear Kelly sound so b**chy over the phone. They're both divas.

Ok, who did what to whom?
You all just assume every one of us is glued to our t.v.'s. Did Rosie call Kelly? Did Kelly call in?
A little more detail would be nice.

This all started last Friday on Regis and Kelly when Clay co-hosted with Ripa and put his hand over her mouth during an interview to silence her. He said it was meant to be funny, but really was not.

Why is that a big deal?
I don't think Rosie was really in the wrong. From the way Kelly said "I don't know where that hand has been" it sure as hell didn't sound like she was talking about flu season to me. I don't think she's any raging homophobe, but I think when you're angry, as she seemed to be at Clay at that moment, stuff comes out.
someone please put the event in essay form for us, no more than 1000 words, and no less than 200.
thanks
Oye! I am here at work, Tivo is at home. I can't exactly slingo it so please fill me in...
Wait, so the hand comment is the big deal?
I'd heard how it started on the radio this morning. I tape The View everyday. I'll just watch it when I get home.

The hand comment is it? Jeez--that's not homophobic--i've heard that saying my whole life...
I'll try to sum up what happened:
The ladies were talking about an episode of "Regis and Kelly" that aired last Friday when Clay Aiken cohosted with Kelly. During an Interview Kelly was talking to the guests, and Clay reached over and jokingly put his hand over Kelly's mouth, implying that she was talking too much and not letting him get a word him. Kelly got upset and said something like "No, don't do that. I don't know where your hand has been" (I'm paraphrasing).
Rosie said that Kelly's comments sounded a little homophobic, given the rumors surrounding Clay's sexuality. A few minutes later Kelly calls in live to "The View" and defends herself, saying that Clay was being rude. She also went on to say that she is in no way homphobic and respects everyone, blah blah blah. She said something to Rosie like "Rosie you should know better. Not everything is homophobic." Rosie seemed a little upset but just kept saying "well that's how it came off to me and my view as gay woman was that it sounded homophobic" (again paraphrasing). Kelly eventually hung up but Rosie still seemed a little shaken.
I'm sure the whole thing will be available on "the site" in a few hours.

I honestly don't even know why I care. I don't watch The View or Regis and Kelly. But, sadly, I do.

Kinda makes you wonder where Rosie's hand might be...or ...well, where it's been.
I wouldnt want Clay's hand over my mouth either...and am decidedly not a homophobe here.
That little botoxed rat terrier. So he put his hand over your mouth, big f**kin' deal! Homophobia? Perhaps. Egomania. For sure!
I was always grossed out by Rosies broken hand and that title "Find Me" or "Finding Me." Sometimes I really feel embarrassed when Rosie jumps on the gay thing. Also when stupid Elizbitch chimes in with her newly discovered homo-acceptance it irks me. So contrived.
Kelly can keep on bitching. Hands are dirty on gay and straight men. Maybe she doesn't want herpes. If I had her boricua man I wouldn't let anyone touch me.
You probably already HAD her boricua man, me.
