"I saw the show that featured Clay and Kelly. Clay was rude to Kelly the ENTIRE episode, even way before the hand incident. The hand incident was tame in comparison to how Clay treated her the whole episode. He was offended because Kelly did some skit where she impersonated Clay and his sensitive diva ass got offended and took it out on her. "

I love Kelly and what he did to her like you said, through the entire episode was be a complete ass. He made the whole skit thing into a diva fit and was rude the whole time, I applaud Kelly for standing up herself. I love her, she's one of my heroes and fellow South Jerseian. Rosie, I adore, but this time was way out of line. I just feel Rosie doesnt have to stand up for Clay, because Clay doesnt deserve any kind of defense: he's a diva, gay or straight: he was an complete and total asshole and Kelly made the best of a situation that turned ugly when Clay tried to be funny.

No time to read through the entire thread. Just wanted to add that I thought her remarks came off sounding very homophobic myself and I posted a message saying so on the Regis and Kelly website. Kelly has gotten a little too big for her britches, if you ask me. (I know... but who asked ya?) Clay was a GUEST host. Does she know the meaning of the word GUEST? She was very ungracious and unprofessional and she chose to blow the incident way out of proportion. As far as I’m concerned, someone should have put their hand over her mouth a long time ago. My only regret was that Clay didn't leave it planted there for the rest of the show!

Kelly's response to the initial hand-over-mouth incident was a way to funnily dismiss her embarassment at being physically shushed on her own show.

Maybe next time Clay What's-his-name guest hosts a talk show he'll realize that it's called "Regis and Kelly" not "One-Hit-Wonder and Kelly"

I understand where Kelly's coming from. I, for one, don't like it when people touch my face. I tend to break out from time to time, so I'm very paranoid about other people's oily hands brushing my face. Furthermore, I didn't take her comment as homophobic, or even gay-related. I figured she was making a reference to masturbation.

She didn't out him. I think she was referring to the "gay scandal" Clay was involved in several months back, not to mention the gay rumors. She thought Kelly's comment was in reference to that.

Well, yes, but I'd like to think that Regis and Kelly are a little closer to each other than, say, her and Clay Aiken. I didn't even take this as a reference to masturbation, but as a reference to...germs. I'd probably say the same thing in that situation, as I'm sure many other people would. It just makes me wonder what's so perpetually up Rosie's ass that she has to make an issue of everything. And I LIKE Rosie.

These pictures are just wastes of space. They prove nothing. Kelly and Regis are very familiar with each other, as they co-host the show with each other every morning. They have lots of friendly banter and constantly do bits along these lines. However, it is completely different when you are nearly a stranger and a guest on someone’s program and physically violate them.
