HOMG I absolutely adore that movie. I haven't watched it in a while but its definetly one of my most warn out tapes in my collection
I need to hunt down another copy of this movie, because I missed a lot of dialogue and scenes because the Blockbuster dvd skipped through the whole movie, and like I said earlier in the thread . . . I was really enjoying the last dance when it just up and died.
Oh, no!

YES! Got my fix today, watched this movie while I was cleaning my house and trying to cheer myself up. (it worked a lil)
oh wow. i love that movie. i go to arts magnet in dallas and i'm in some dance classes. whenever we have a free day, we always watch that movie.
Watching it now (it's on Oxygen).
Monk is ridiculously good. Just from her face, you can feel the punch in the gut she feels when her daughter tells her she doesn't want to dance.
I know every dance to this movie by heart. I think it's one of those movies that is so bad it's amazing, and I adore it. My best friend knows Ethan...I also once saw the actor who plays Charlie on the subway in NYC. Random facts I'm sure y'all cared about.

This movie is one big dance cliche, but I love it nonetheless.

love this movie!
My one dance teacher hates this movie because she says that it's not really like that. yes some things are true, but most of it is exaggerated
It's not a documentary.
It's allowed to be exaggerated. I used to want to BE Jodie Sawyer when I saw this movie. I thought she was the prettiest person ever.
"Monk is ridiculously good."
Rath praising Debra Monk? It can't be! How uncharacteristic!

I LOVE this movie and I've seen it more times than I like to admit. I used to know the jazz dance and end ballet by heart.
Random: My old ballet teacher used to dance with the girl who played the dancer who got kicked out because she was too "fat."
How does the word random apply to that factoid?
It's perfectly relevant.
I love the word 'factoid.'
You would, Braindancer.
Braindancer? I'm picturing a cerebellum with ballet shoes...
No wonder you can't get a date.

Well, it was random that my ballet teacher knew her...? I don't know. haha
Who said I couldn't, bitch?
(Not you, Blair. The one over there with the spiked hair and the flannel... )
