Anyone like this movie? I am watching it now and it is pretty good. And Donna Murphy is in it, which is a plus.

I love to put this movie in when I'm feeling bummed. Pure fun, and great dancing.

I love this movie! Sure the story is contrived and obvious, but the dancing is so much fun it doesn't matter.

I love this movie. The dancing is awesome. I saw an picture in the Kennedy Center magazine about a performance that "Cooper" and "Kathy" were doing and I wished I could have gone to see them.

"I am the best goddamn dancer in the American Ballet Academy. Who the hell are you? Nobody."

Best line ever.

That is a great line, skittles.

Anyway, this is a really great movie to watch when you're in a bad mood. The dancing is also lovely.

i love it because a lot of people in that were in one of my favorite musicals: Crazy For You.

I love this movie--just makes me feel soo good. And lots of theatre people were involved--as mentioned Donna Murphy, Debra Monk, Peter Gallagher, and umm...definitely more that I can't remember. One of my favorite guilty pleasure movies.

love this movie - the Bway actors (Donna, Peter, Debra) and the Bway extras (Priscilla Lopez as the dance teacher) are fab. but the guy playing charlie, while not a Bway actor is enough to make my water boil. oh yeah and someone called Susan Stroman choreographed that last ballet which ended with Jodie in all red spinning off the two guys - BRILLIANCE!

Don't f*ck with me fellas. This ain't my first time at the rodeo.

I started watching the last dance and I was loving it, and then it skipped and died. I got it from Blockbuster and it is scratched like crazy.

Right, Priscilla Lopez I forget. Also the receptionist of that class was Lovette George, from Musicals of Musicals: The Musical

I think the fan base tends a bit on the young side. The movie is ok the excepts are fine but the big finale is cheated all the way for camera. I like "the Company" as a dance film more.

"The Company" is good, but I don't think the plot is as good as "Center Stage" I love that movie. I'm a dancer and I think that everything that happens in this movie is absolutly true. Except they exaggerate some parts, like when she's looking at the blisters on her feet. Blisters never look like that!

Yeah, I'm probably too old and not a dancer, so I didn't think much of the film.

It's certainly not a great film, but for klutzes like me who are fascinated by dancers, it's interesting.

And, Debra Monk. Yeah.

LOVE this guilty pleasure.

A friend of mine used to dance in the San Francisco Ballet with Amanda Schull (Jody) and she got me a signed press photo from the film that still sits on my desk at work as a sign of my complete and total dorkiness. Very, very nice girl though.

Ethan Stiefel (Cooper) just took over Ballet Pacific in Orange County and is expected to turn it into a major national force.

Yea, Center Stage almost exactly chronicles the way the School of American Ballet chooses dancers for the New York City Ballet.
