Ah, Best Buy - yeah, it's probably just that one guy who was an ass. I usually get pretty good service there too - plus they work on commission so they have motive to be nice to you!

There is no commission at Best Buy, when you're hired they give you a long spiel about how the competitive attitude of employees at like comp USA scares customers, and this way if a customer challenges you by saying you're just selling so aggresively b/c you're on commission, you can correct them and prove your sincere honesty. hehe, really the only impetus to sell/ be competent is to not get screeched at or fired...so basically a system of fear.

Yeah, that was irrelevant, carry on.

Wow, I didn't realize that! I could've sworn my cousin, who works in the Comp dept. in Boston, was on commission, and Future Shop (a Canadian chain that's merged with Best Buy) works on commission too. It could just be Future Shop though - that's a good policy with Best Buy. (I HAVE found that the Best Buy employees are less aggressive than the FS ones.)

I can't vouch for the future shop, crazay canadians, but I worked as a cashier and then as an I-pod/ Cellphone sales person and no commission, I'm pretty sure its a store wide policy, they were quite emphatic about it...Geek Squad is a different story as its a seperate company.

Wuz up, bizatches? Just got home a few moments ago. Someone is dissing us again? I must go to that thread and read the slander. And Tiff, I would put "Don't Look Back In Anger" on that list, but I feel I could have done so much better on that song. But, my next Oasis song will be killer. And I have a surprise for you guys and gals in the next couple of weeks if I can get it set up. What can it be? You will just have to wait and see.

Spidey, I thought your "Don't Look Back in Anger" was great. You did an awesome job with an awesome song.

I haven't read much of this thread at all; why has the next round been delayed so many times? I get all excited about it and then I see the date keeps being pushed back! There is actually going to be a next round, right?

Ok so I just got off the phone with the people at Best Buy, they ran some tests on my laptop and discovered the hard drive is bad.. OMG What a shock.. that came from know where.. I wouldn't have thought the hard drive was bad in a million years..
