Saw this walking in the office today. Rest in peace.

Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touch.
Puppies are babies in fur coats.

Given her recent health problems this doesn't suprise me, but it's still very sad.
My thoughts go out to the King family.
May she rest in peace.
It seems like the passing of an era.
It comes on the heels of the announcement that the Smithsonian Institution has picked a WONDERFUL site for the new African American museum. It will be located on the National mall - right next to the Smithsonian's American History museum. I can't think of a better spot!
What a magnificent woman. Her memory will be for a blessing.

The world is a little colder without the warmth of her spirit.
Thank you for the example of grace and strength. May many be exposed to your legacy.
But someone in heaven is a little warmer.

Unfortunaely, my last memory of her was when she was a guest on Oprah a couple of years ago, and Oprah surprised her with a makeover. I kid you not. Oprah decided Mrs. King needed a new hairdo after all these years.
Is there NO ONE on Oprah's staff with the balls to say, "Isn't this idea maybe a little tacky?"
She died on the anniversary of the passing of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, outlawing slavery, in 1865.
It passed by only 2 votes.
Part of our country's "living history" as died.
May she rest in peace.
What an inspirational woman who carried on the dream. Rest in peace.
I assume she will rest in State as Rosa Parks did.
Jon - REALLY? Wow. Tacky.
PalJoey - that's a remarkable coincidence.

I've got to leave for awhile, so I'd like to leave this at the top.
At a time when our freedoms are in question, it is important to remember and be inspired by those who have gone before and given so much.
Thank you again, Ms. King - and may you rest in the peace that you so richly deserve.
Rest in peace, Mrs. King. You certainly deserve peace as much as anyone.
We are all so grateful to you.
I saw a news conference about it on CNN, but I was just passing by the TV, so I didn't catch who they were talking about. It's very sad, but at least she's at peace.
